How are you doing today? A month ago, my father was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer which had spread to his liver. They founf 4.5cm growth on his liver. Doctors told him he has less than 6 months to live. Luckly he has minimal pain though he gets very tired nd lost weight. My father is refusing to get any treatment including chemo. He just decided to leave it to God.

Is a new diagnosis of diabetes in someone who has chronic pancreatitis for 4 years with extensive calcification, be an early indicator of pancreatic cancer? And is the diabetes considered 3c diabetes?

Thank you for highlighting this area! There are few doctors that really understand the impact of EPI. Dr. Freedman also has an in depth article on Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency written with Dr. Struyvenberg that anyone with EPI should read. Another really helpful resource was the book Primal Pancreas.

I came across this video by accident and I couldn’t believe I wasn’t alone. I’ve struggled with pancreatitis for 30 years. My story is very similar to the people who have shared. The information was very helpful. When one person said they wish someone could feel this pain for a second so they could understand. I know have cysts in my pancreas. I have been diagnosed with IPMN when I was 31. I shared this video with all my family members. With hopes they could better understand this condition. I feel that hearing other people’s stories they could better understanding what I go through and not “ here we go again “ I thank all of you for sharing your stories and how you all have found ways to cope with a devastating condition.

I went to the teaching hospital clinic of one of the attendees, about when this was filmed. “No evidence on imaging.” No treatment, because we “don’t see any evidence you have chronic pancreatitis.” Good-bye, good luck. Luckily, my gastroenterologist said “b___ s____,” and treated the symptoms. Then evidence is there now, but we’re still treating my symptoms, pretty successfully on the whole. Maybe he listened to your presentation?

I'm appalled by the healthcare system in the West (I'm in the UK). I've had constant left side abdominal pain & nausea for over a year & as a 35 year old man, knowone seems to care. I finally got an ultrasound a few months ago. The practitioner told me at the time she could see fat infiltration in the liver & pancreas. My doctor sent me a text a week later, ignoring the pancreas discovery & told me I simply have fatty liver and should consider improving my diet. Fatty liver alone should not be causing these left side abdominal symptoms & my diet is good, but there was no suggestion of further investigation. I've pushed the matter and have now been referred for an endoscopy & awaiting a CT abdomen appointment. It's so discouraging to hear that people have been misdiagnosed & had unnecessary surgery as a result. I pray I can get to the bottom of this soon. Listening to this video I'm not convinced I have pancreatitis, my pain is a more constant dull ache that is made worse by lying on either side, but I am convinced the ignored fat infiltration of the pancrease has something to do with it. It feel like my pancrease is in trouble

pancreas pseudo cyst. observed sometime ago. however thank be to god was reading packet ingredients, a phrase one hadnt heard at that time: ''malic acid'' came to light, - discovering this product during 'my checking of ingredients' process in regards to 'new to me foodstuffs' & listed on pack ''tangfastics'' was '' malic acid'' believe it or not [long story here] ''tangfastics'' was literally available foods at that time, and certainly not typical 'food' in my case .. ( it was needs must; bovine gelatin, malic acid, sugar not that bad right thinks me, well, okay sugar not great in regards inflammation but ) anyways, was on hospital acute care bed were search engine check revealed [some] efficacy in regards to sudo cyst / malic acid. picked up 500g off of amazon. 1/2 teaspoon, warm water, also, creon caps, sporadic fasting ..fresh fruit, herbs & veg, exercise [ Qigong : pancreas related stretches also ] so far so good. appears to be 'melting' the pseudo cyst i think is a way to say. YMMV
