  ACOLYTE :The series is simply badly made, also and especially from a cinematic point of view.......hey leslye headland, just look at one, ONE, episode of columbo and then you know how murder mystery works, if you know in the first few minutes who the murderer is. besides look at the actors, in the columbo series,the camera etc. etc,,,,iam not a star wars fan per se, iam a movie fan.......but iam not blind.But maybe I'm already too old and my expectations of films and their stories are too high in 2024.

  I’m just an enjoyer atp, I like all 9 movies/every show that’s released/have my issues but move on nonetheless. I’m really trying not to interact with fans so much anymore. I can’t deal with the hateful bullshit.

  I think it has something to do with these anti SJW channels, like nerderotic or geeks and gamers, and how they always promote negative perspectives to Disney Star Wars projects, dismissing everything they make as "woke" or "trash" (even when sometimes the project says otherwise) and how most kids are completely devoid of having their own personal opinion, and just get carried around and believe everything those types of channels say.

  So what if they hate everything how is that affecting you? You don't like someone's opinion don't read it. Just because everyone hasn't drunk the Disney Kool-Aid and actually looks critically at the Star wars franchise doesn't make them toxic nor a problem.

  I think that is probably the best thing you can do. You are not very correct, and things in the entertainment industry is DEFINITELY going in a certain direction. And that direction is VERY political, very manipulative, and people like yourself, have nothing to gain from it, no matter how much you bend the knee.

  They dont hate everything. They hate the propaganda pushed into their favorite stories. I hate the way not one single sci fi or fantasy story in the last 5 years even has a white guy lead. Star Wars started out as a story about two white men. Sure, there were always women, and people of color, but white men were always front and center. That has been taken away. And it simply isnt right. Everyone deserves representations dn everyone deserves to have their own culture, and to see themselves as heroes. If people need propaganda, let them start from scratch and make their own. And it's not just Star Wars. It's Lord of the Rings, Witcher, Warhammer 40K.... and the list is growing, as people have had enough.

  We hate bigotry. The Acolyte trailer literally excludes all wht men. Not a single one and none on most of the episodes either. They have chosen to deny representation to the largest segment of their fn base, and that is very disgusting. Please dont pretend like you have no idea what is going on. Besides the lack luster writing and acting, because politics are far more important than talent, it's awful to see how divisive they are. Imagine making a show that traditionally appeals to black or hispanic people without any representation. Imagine making an all white Zoro movie, or an all white Black Panther movie.

  @@vampsith Its not just a trailer, its literally all of culture, and much more then that. Like jobs, loans, housing opportunities and more. Im not just going to move on from cultural appropriation. People have a right to their stories, and their culture. If someone tried to remake a story about black or brown people with white actors, we would have screaming going on until the end of days. You might be OK with white characters constantly taken over by non white actors, while not one single non white character is EVER taken over by a white actor.

  I completely agree that fandom toxicity is a huge problem, ESPECIALLY when fans start harrassing the people involved in making the things they hated. HOWEVER, I think it's easy to dismiss the power of stories. I think it's normal for people to get invested in stories, and for people to be upset when that story is mismanaged or driven into the ground. Star Wars may be a "goofy space fantasy" to some, but its story can be far more than that to others; its values, its morals, its depictions and far more can resonate with someone in a way that doesn't with others. This video is quick to dismiss deeper passion for a good story as illogical or wrong, but I disagree with that wholeheartedly. Does that mean that fandom hate is justified? Of course not. In a perfect world, this kind of discourse would be rational and level-headed. What I'm saying is that you can fault people for their words or actions, but not for how they feel about the way their favourite IPs (like Star Wars) are treated.

  I would put The Incredibles, The Winter Soldier, The Dark Knight, Logan, Infinity War and a few others over The Avengers now. I just think they are overall better films and have better stories and better special effects, with the exception of Banner's head sticking out of his Hulkbuster suit.

  Look Im fine with people liking different things about Star Wars, even if for some reason you like the Sequals. But I swear some Legends and EU fans think they are so high and mighty for hating NOT the Disney stuff, but the 2008 Clone Wars, which was heavily influenced by George Lucas, while their favorite book only has Star Wars because the deal between LucasArts and Del Ray publishing.

  I wonder if the writers knew the show was going to get cancelled. The happy ending almost plays like a goodbye to these characters. The scene shows them reconnecting after so much time apart. Maybe the writers wrote it like that on purpose because they were aware of the likely cancellation. The only cliffhangery thing was the Bullseye scene at the very end, but that almost seems like a last minute inclusion. As if the writers put it there just in case the show wasn't cancelled, so that they'd have a direction to go down for season 4.

  Good review. The film does really draw you in with its craziness and vivid characters but after that, like you say, the film loses its way and devolves into a pedestrian ending, just as you said. Spot on.

  Iron Man 2 is pretty messy but it's a fun time. I also think it is pretty realistic how easy it is for a billionaire to walk back their character growth.

  i became a starwars fan just before the last jedi came out my first movie was the force awakens i always thought it was bad but not terrible and since i feel like the community has just gone hard starting to be enclosed from anything other than a 7/10 minimum were less of a toxic community then a broken one the real people we should blame are disney for ruining the community like this

  I lot of what you sight is very subjective but spoken like reality, i find myself disagreeing with you generally but especially your recollection of popularity post release vs some time after not being based in reality rather your specific recounting of how it played it in your world. Being older and having more life experience will assist in recollecting with more sound grounding also speaking to star wars when you were not around for the release of 4, 5 or 6. As these are the original its hard for you to understand, good to hear another side of the story but i strongly disagree with you.

  I'm a HUGE Star Wars fan, I love Rogue One, the TV shows (some are a little slow). I didn't like The Book Of Boba Fett that much. I LOVE LOVE LOVE The Clone Wars/Rebels/The Bad Batch and anything else SW animated!!!! Why do people HATE everything now? It's outrageous, it's unfair!
