    Will fender strat aftermarket parts fit in this strat? (Pickguard, backplate, etc.) Ty!

  • @chromaticmusic
    @chromaticmusic4 күн бұрын

    The pick gaurd screw holes are pretty much based off of the same design so all manufacturers can make parts that are interchangeable. I've bought parts for my strats that were from Chinese companies and they all fit great. Just keep in mind that the vintage guitars 60s and earlier had less screws and the holes were in different places. So count the number of screw holes your guitar has and make sure they match up

    Great video, full of unvaluable information, thank you so much. The first guitar I bought my self after working for months as a janitor in a music store for months was a RGZ321FP (same blue methalic color than yours). Man, I loved that guitar so much but then started my "normal guy life" and I sell it in 2001. Yesterday I found my guitar on sale in a local online marketplace, not a simlilar one, it is the one I sold! It has the same scratches and different volume and tone knobs I puted on then (I still have the originals). I was uncertain on bought it again, but no more doubts now.

    Hi I have a guitar identical to this model and was wondering how do you fix the bridge so that the low strings don’t keep hitting the fret board. I’ve never strung a Floyd Rose before or done a set up on a guitar and it’s made it a bit harder to do since it is a hard to find guitar. Do you have any tips for a newbie on how to set this thing up/ adjust the bridge properly? I think the back spring tension is pulling the bridge down lower than it should be. I don’t want to damage it on accident . Thanks!

    Just happened into an RGZ 112P for $125 at an indoor flea market guitar vendor. Needs some lovings because it's pretty dirty and kinda sticky, but when I plugged it in, I knew. My dad's favorite (now last) guitar is a Yamaha classical, so when I got into it, I really wanted a Yamaha. My Squier Strat, SSS, just wasn't keeping up for some things due to the buzz and it gets muddy on chords. But having a guitar with a humbucker is quite nice. So looking forward to seeing how it feels and sounds in real playing

    If I came into a first-generation Steinberger bass, one thing I would try to do in short order is have the headpiece upgraded to one from the Synapse line. There may be nothing wrong with double-ball end strings, but I’m kind of picky.

    Really like your enthusiasm for yamaha rock guitars. I am lucky enough to own an RGX1212s with mahogany/maple five ply neck through construction and ebony fretboard that is an incredible playing guitar. Mine has the yamaha tuners and is indeed made in Taiwan but is excellent quality maybe even better than my Ibanez RG550 that was made in Japan. Thanks for pointing out that the "made in Taiwan " were excellent quality guitars too.

  • @chromaticmusic
    @chromaticmusic27 күн бұрын

    That 1212 was on my list for a long time. After I made this video it got so many views that it actually changed the worlds view on these guitars and the prices skyrocketed. I could have gotten a Japanese 1212 for 500 usd and now they go for 1800. My personal collection after restoring them to better than factory has made them worth 4 times what I bought them for, and in some cases 10 times. Really I got lucky. I knew yamaha made great engines and pianos but had thought their guitars and basses were junk simply because no one ever endorsed them or saw them in major bands. But alas, I remember what the Japanese do best, improve not invent.

    @chromaticmusic I've just bought a new pickguard for my cheap experiment bass (everyone needs one). It fits amazingly snug wverywhere but....there's a gap near the output jack and one of the bottom screw points misses the wood so effectively need to add wood to slightly fill the routed/cavity area in order to fit the new pickguard. Scanned KZread for tips but found nothing. I'm going to cut and trim some wood up and glue it in so it's more or less flush to the body surface, paint it and use superglue as a lacquer finish (If any of that makes sense) So.. Any thoughts or tips?

  • @chromaticmusic
    @chromaticmusicАй бұрын

    @halo20763 there's a really easy way to fix it. One method would simply use wooden tooth picks as a filler. Next is put cotton in the hole and then saturate it with super glue. Both work very well. Look up how to fill small holes with cotton and super glue, it will show you a ton of cool hacks

  • @halo20763
    @halo20763Ай бұрын

    @chromaticmusic ah no, it's not a hole as in a screw whole, the oickguard is to small and leaves a gap between itself and the body itself. Like an 8mm x 13mm gap, and the bottom screw hole on the pickguard hovers above the cavity.

  • @chromaticmusic
    @chromaticmusicАй бұрын

I really had no plans on keeping it until I played it for a while. Turns out I Loved it! I paid $100 for it in a real nice hard case. I do not understand the concept of trash-fixing an issue and praising it as a miraculous feature. Using reshade to tweak screen brightness is like powering an additional 64 core CPU to calculate 2 + 2 every single frame. The performance cost aside, such "fix" completely disables the option to set MDIs to day/night mode, and if you want to fly at night? Enjoy 3 flashbangs. The correct solution, is to find software that enables USB monitor color correction, like Nvidia Control Panel. And the right thing to do for a user, is to send a message to WINWING directly so they add the settings to SimAppPro.
