  you know, rellana isn't even a mandatory boss. she's intended to make you realize you should find more scadutree blessings, and while exploring you might find the path that lets you skip her. so much of why people think she's hard is because they get locked in the mindset of slamming their head against a wall, when every souls game has always given you things you can do to avoid that. What I'm saying is: if you play this DLC even a little stubbornly, you'll end up having an experience similar to Dan. it is designed to punish stubbornness.

  I think there are 2 or 3 easier but I haven't fought them with no vig haha I'm level 250 or something with 60 vig and 15 scadutree blessing

  One guy told Dan to level VIG to beat Radahn in the first playthrough 2 years ago. Dan rerolled his stats to remove all points in VIG and proceeded to beat every boss in the game with no HP or resin. Dan is famous for labeling every tool in souls games that isn't a STR weapon as resin (this being a reference to the weapon coating resin items in all souls games), which he considers forbidden to him. It's not serious, just how he likes to play the games. Now he is continuing his original character in the DLC, refusing to lvl VIG as that's part of the motif of Cerso Yeet Elden Edition. All that said, this is levels of suffer-core we have only seen once before with Malenia (2999 attempts) but I believe he'll beat it eventually.

  I played through the DLC with a colossal sword and apart from like 2 bosses I would honestly agree with them. If he gets past this, he will roll like 80% of what comes after.

  Its cool how these DLC boss fights can feel so different based on your choice of weapon. I finally beat Rellana with close combat fist weapons. Very little room for error, took me about 50-75 tries.

  I'm trying to avoid looking at comments about late game stuff, but thanks to the chatter who said the scadu blessings go to 20, because I beat the first 9 main bosses at or below level 9 and have been stuck on the final one for like four days. I thought i was only one away from max so I didn't want to bother going all the way. levelled up to 15, and now it seems physically possible for me to beat it.

  I love with KZread I can just be like “I wonder how Dan got so good at balatro” then literally go back and rewatch his entire experience with the game unedited. Like imagine going to a blockbuster in 2002 and renting 207 hours of a guy plying a card game. Ease of media consumption has changed the world!
