I have two head prestige 600 brand new that have broken/missing suspension grip (just top part that your remove first in the video) otherwise they still have plastic grip wrap and sticker and all of that. I’m trying to figure out how to find 1) replacement of the top part and 2) install it. Is this possible ? Thank you

16gauge tourbite will play dead on this frame, a thinner more lively string like hyper G at 30-40s will probably work better

Calibration is on the weighing scale, not sure what’s the equivalent to 1 cm to kg though. It is clearly marked and should be pretty accurate.

It is a fishing weighing scale, or hand held spring balance they used in fishing make sure to find those ones that of higher capacity say 30 Kg..

Is it possible to replace the suspension grip with a TK82 pallet?

I’m afraid not, when the suspended grip is removed from the racket the shape of the handle is not rectangular in shape as opposed to that of other Head rackets.

Hi, what I did was I weigh first the racket without it’s leather grip before removing the suspension grip.. then weigh the racket (without the supension grip) + the butt cap+ some lead tape should be about 6 -8 grams less than the original weight of the racket. 6-8 grams is for the glue and the bicarbonate soda.. as you can see on the video total weight of the butt cap and lead tapes is 31 grams.

This is the exact racquet in which I learned my one handed backhand. The other model that is very close to this classic is the Microgel Prestige Pro.

Really? I like this racket but the head size is a bit small for me.Just acquired Microgel Prestige Pro, (not tested it though… )it’s 16x19 and 98 sq.in. , what string and tension were you using?

@@romeventennis Congrats. I'm using 17 gage for better bite on the ball due to dense string pattern, 55 pounds tension. Perfect for power and control and very compact for hitting volleys. The small head size is catered for serve & volley game. This racquet is not suited for baseline bashers I hope this helps.

Was this the game at 4-4 in the 3rd set? I remember some really hard hitting by these two in the third set. Very impressive. Not sure why Wimbledon isn't posting any highllights from this match, so thank you for this

Hey buddy, great vid!!! I am trying to replicate your silicone gun magic, but i’m having issues with the part that attaches in the tip of the gun and contacts the racket… what have u used? Metal with some rubber on top? Greatings from Brazil!!!!

Yes it is a Metal C stud or similar, I got that from a car wiper mechanism part.. I drilled a hole big enough to slot in the metal part of the silicone gun.. I wrapped it with a medical plaster as a protection so it won’t damage the racket’s paintwork..

Do you have your favorites for poly cross strings with gut mains? What are some of your favorites. Most people don't want to spend $20. a set for Luxilon like the pros. I am looking for a poly cross that marines well with natural gut to give you maximum playability. Right now I am using Hyper-G 20 gauge poly. The Solinco Hyper-G 20 in my gut / poly hybrid was arrived at by trying every other string in the Solinco line in 18 or 20 gauge (if available). Prior to that, I play tested numerous slick smooth rounded polys (dozens) to see which ones performed best. My top five previously priced under $14. a set were (in order): 1) Yonex Pro Tour FIRE 1.20; 2) Weiss CANNON Silverstring 17; 3) Kirschbaum Pro Line EVO; 4) Mayami Hit Pro 1.25; and, 5) MSV Co-Focus 17L (1.18). Just ordered Tier One GHOSTWIRE and Grapplesnake Tour M8 (which I know you like a lot). What would you top three polys be for cross strings with gut?
