Ah yes "tonight" - but it's still within this year! I've been quite exhausted these past few days as I've been traveling all the way to my sister which is now a days worth of travel and a week's worth of stress. So Pardon me my late re-re-play ❤️ I want to thank you all for putting together this MEP, and as you all know I'm positively touched by it but even so what matters to me is not really the gift but the intentions behind it, so please note something, very important. I love you, a gift or not won't affect this... my birthday is placed in the middle of celebrations, vacations and overeating, right after, for people in education, exams, tests, assignments, or, for people employed, mostly stressful work days to due season. Please do not force yourself to put together a project each time, I know it's a busy time, I know it's a time where people want to relax after all this madness and don't want to stress over editing parts. As much as I appreciate this, getting a lovely message is more than enough to fill my heart, it's the people behind the screens who are important after all. Nonetheless let me thank you for this, with a slight plead to not put yourselves through this each year. Your thoughts on me are never defined by what you give me but what you communicate with me, I hope you know that I feel this way ❤️ Regardless let me thank you first and foremost! I didn't know the song at all tbh, as in, I'm sure I've heard it somewhere but I couldn't quite put my finger on it, still I loved the message, ironically I was traveling 'home' that day, as in, to my sister but now that I'm here I feel like my new life has become my true home. I arrived there truly and here, whilst still roaming the house as if it's my own (and using the wifi) I'm still kind of a guest, at least I feel like so. So in a sense the song describes the opposite of my situation as I've let go of what I used to call home- which makes this actually quite funny ❤️ I've never been so stuck up on the place I was, a free bird more or less but my sister and her kids kept me in a cell of family life and an obligation to be here and be the best aunt. With the distance put between us I'm not obligated to anymore and, who would have guessed, against my sisters opinion, it did not make me a worse aunt or sister, simply one who isn't always available. I've gained my personal freedom that I longed for so in a sense I'll reflect the song on that freedom which I want to call home now. It might be hard sometimes and opinions rarely to never match between me and my loved ones but that's what I want to do, it took me sweet 26 years to realize this. And your song of choice just sent me into this whirlpool of thoughts and let me finally voice what I've been thinking- even if that’s not the point, I think I needed to say this. I know I'm not always easy to be around. I'm moody sometimes, I sometimes talk faster than I think, and I act emotionally ever so often. I know that most of you here see me as kind and caring and stuff but I want you to know that while I care and want the best for you I'm also not perfect when it comes to this. But I will never forget good things and I will always be sure to give them back. I do believe that my friends deserve to be fought for so I hope that I'll keep you in my life and that we can communicate through every problem that might occur.
