    Looks easy enough.but wait. Does it turn the right color sitting in the water pan-i wait for the straw color and then a tiny bit more to get the neck and dump into a pan. Using the cordless drill and socket approach.

    Seriously been thinking about BP since I watched everything black powder’s video. Very appealing to be able to make you own powder and if you get a flint lock no more primers. In today’s market that’s a HUGE SAVINGS

    So in order to use these you need unscrew the little silver anvil doohickey, break your fingernails under the spent 209 primer attempting to dislodge it, and repeat? So plan on adding more time to your loading procedure and of course that little silver anvil doohickey is begging to be dropped in the dirt at your feet. I think I’ll stick with #11s. When you find them lay up a lifetime’s worth. Plan, plan, plan.

    I only used this for a short period when I couldn't find caps whatsoever. I have since made my own swaging spent large rifle cups or from aluminum cans. i'm not paying $30 for 100 caps when I can make them for a few cents a piece. this has its disadvantages but also would be great if you don't want a cap falling off while hunting, much higher ignition rate as well

  • @JaredHempfield

    I will be coating like always, using Benchmark maybe 21gr, will see on the accuracy. Ive been pushing the 55gr too hot getting flyers. Hoping these heavy handers will achieve tighter groups but its going to take some time. I was really just using the 55gr casts even 4gr over max data to fuck around mag dumping. I want to see how these do

    Curious how long you cook the tp in the can for, until it stops shooting flames out? Or a certain amount of time. I've been trying this strategy by throwing paint cans in fire but it's just destroying my cans I want to use the propane stove instead but I'm just not sure how long to cook it

  • @JaredHempfield
    @JaredHempfieldАй бұрын

    A rolling fire is too hot, embers is all you need. I cook until the smoke stops, about an hour or more on the propane grill, I remove the grate, flame shield and set can right on the burner on high. Not allowing flame to ignite the gasifying. Hemp bast fiber is my best charcoal so far, faster than toilet paper. Even hemp hurds was faster.

  • @MegaMarclar
    @MegaMarclarАй бұрын

    @@JaredHempfield I tried it in my stove last night, seems like it's overchared and maybe even burnt a bit inside. Going to re try with my propane like you did.

    Hi I purchased one of these maybe 6 months ago,Because in the uk I couldn’t get any top hat primers or number 10 and 11 primers it’s like looking for hens teeth,So found mag spark in USA £70 some pounds with 2 extra top caps it’s easy to miss place them worked great with shotgun primers no miss fires but you do need to clean after several or so shots and they can sometimes get a bit stuck but I primer hole a fraction larger problem solved great bit of kit 👍👍
