Tony, it's just her age, mate, I have a 9 year old Irish Terrier, and She is slowing down and jumping into the back of the car, Dogs age quick sadly.
Tony couldn’t be bothered to put his rod in properly and doesn’t care if it touches his head🤦♂️😂😂😂 great in depth vid👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Absolutely all that fussy stuff lol 😆 😂
Sending love to Lassie from me and family❤
Many thanks 😊
So cool. Great job😊
Thank you 😊
M- Ok 0:43 l
Get your dogs to choose the best 😂😂
Last part lol 😆 we choose
This just shows we all gave different ways but also some is befor summer and some for winter would you agree tony as i dont know i only use tents
Several of these great for winter too
@@TonyHobbs i must try one day and get out of comfort zone of tents
Yes definitely. Save weight get more space... kinda. Depending what use lol 😆 my second and all subsequent camps were in one if these. Other than occasionally using tents lol
Im doing a load of xamps on dartmoor if you want to join just say im based on west Devon near prince town 🤟🤟
For sure. Chase me up in autumn as doing a few solos and got a couple or so joints planned but yeah would be nice to catch up
@@TonyHobbs ok sounds good just say when you may be free 👍👍
What are best days eg during week or weekend ?
@@TonyHobbs monday tuesday wednesday as those days i can choose days off work the other days i cant 👍👍
That would work well.
Sorry to hear the news about Lassie Tony, I'm just catching up, not done much on youtube recently. Yes Sh5t does happen sometimes :( Lets hope she will improve after a rest. Take care Sandy
Hi Sandy Thanks for kind words. She's about same unfortunately but at least mobile around home. I'll get a dog pram and hopefully get her out occasionally. Hope you're well.
I don't think anyone has ever done something like this before Tony:)
It's been on my mind for a year or two but struggled to find a field. Lone Explorer did once say i could use his field but it didn't happen. Luckily I bumped into a farmer walking. Then the thought of MLD letters caught my mind 😆
Wow ! Has to be the finest display of tarps tents on you tube ever ! 😅👍
More to follow lol 😆
@TonyHobbs 😅 I have a silnylon mld patrol tarp u could borrow if u not got that in your collection to make up the three letters 🙂
You'll see all letters tomorrow 😉 and more shelters when we go through full lineup and part 3 is my favs 😍 😆 But I'd be interested in looking at that one day just as a curiosity
@@TonyHobbs an amazing collection of tents tarps 😅 yeh no probs , welcome to try the patrol tarp out
Great video/ show, as always 😊 Here's some videos, you might be interested in... Badger outdoors/ @badgeroutdoors3114 Highly recommend him ... He has an episode on almost complete bivys , it's called, Wildcamping Bivvy Bivy,Bivi? Next is ,mountain hopper57 @northumberlandmountainhopper He only bivy camps I've been think about a bivy by , Alton , I really think I would like it, but it's Bloody Expensive 😢 Oh here's one more suggestion Scotty's Gone Walkabout @ ScottysGoneWalkabout He uses an Alton a lot , but also camps a lot the way you do😊 Oh you might also like his mates channel, The Silly Swagman @TheSillySwagman Ok I'll stop waffling, take care and GOD BLESS!!!'
these are a great piece of kit...now i know how a mars bar feels like..lol.. great vlog brother
Brilliant comparison 😆
Im considering getting a bivy for camping on tops of rocky mountains, great review thanks👍
Thanks 😀 enjoy and have fun
Tony this was so hard to watch , I felt so bad I actually got upset, am going through this with my female Labrador at the moment, and she’s at that age where I wouldn’t want to operate,
Sorry to hear of yours We have to enjoy their time with us knowing it's finite
@@TonyHobbs I no mate , Just have to remember the memories of them , she’s just slowing down now
Top comparing !. I got the standard Soul Bivy , size large . I used it first time this year after owning it for about 4 yrs 😅and i really liked it. Its definitely not waterproof though , and ive always wondered if the Event version is proper waterproof and could be used without a tarp , or maybe mini tarp for small showers or drizzle ? I did find on ebay an older ME goretex bivy that came with a plastic window which i couldnt resist 😅, hopefully for autumn winter use which ive yet to try , but akways been tempted by the mld event bivy . Cheers
Which do you have? The MLD Soul eVent bivy is definitely waterproof. Check my several videos where it gets soaked and I'm dry inside? Yes definitely OK without cover. Do you have the SUL bivy by MLD with splash proof cover they excellent but definitely need cover they have mesh windows by head. Thanks for watching
It's so hard when our companions pass on. Having been here since the days of Bess and watched Lassie as a wee pup I share your sadness for what is to come
Thanks yip that's a long time to he watching 😀 it's always tough but need to work around it best can and best foot forward
Missing the Supertarp but got/ had everything else. Plus 5 Trailstars😂
If I chuck in my old original ts I've got 6 lol I took five. Which did do you have?
@TonyHobbs Original (and probably best/ heaviest), same but different colour, dcf, lighter silnylon, new silpoly. Missing the dcf one. Wish I hadn't sold it. Was out last night in 45mph winds down the Feshie with the TS. No probs!
Not often someone regrets selling dcf trailstar.
Hola Tony, me again sadly......idea for next vid'...Tony goes out on a....'how to do a 'Tidy Camp'......good job you tolerate me lol..🤣
Tidy is blasphemy 😆
Top notch tent , yeah hope she improves and still gets out on some adventures with u👍
Thank you 😊
Well We'll, I am finally in the 4 year range... I'm getting closer and closer , to catching up 😊 Loved the , more than a layering system 😂😂😂 Take care and GOD BLESS!!! Did Learn quite a bit about Layering...
Thanks 😀 great to know I'm getting older in your eyes quicker than in life 😆 🤣
@@TonyHobbs you are very welcome!!! Great timing, just getting started to watching, MLD 48 Quilt and how I secured it this trip July 2019☺️ Oh yes , but it does seem to go about that fast , unfortunately 😏
Tough seeing you so upset, Tony . Hoping you will find a way forward that will work for both of you. Take care.
Thanks Andy yup it's a tough one. She's OK around home. But unless there is some divine intervention her walks probably behind her. Take it step at a time as it were. Thanks for your support
This is awful..... We have all got used to see Lassie on you camping adventures, I hope everything will be all right for you and Lassie.
Thanks Tom yes she's become an integral part the star 🌟 life is tough unfortunately. Thank you as always for watching and posting heart felt message
Tony, I really hope Lassie gets back to 100%. Jon
Thanks Jon
Hate to hear this , maybe , hopefully it's just a sprain, dog's can get in all kinds of predicaments... Don't worry about what other people might be thinking ... If they been watching you at all , even just for a little bit, they will know you are ans excellent Dad , and Love ❤your children very very much... I'll keep praying, and you take care. Still telling everyone to watch Uncle Tony, pretty much of the same age ... GOD BLESS!!!!
She is marginally better, but steps slows her a lot and she's walking like John Wayne lol, I'll keep her close to home and work around that, longer trips like we had done I don't think I'd trust her legs now, but who knows. a safe short walk would be nice. Thanks for lovely comment
@@TonyHobbs always and forever ... You are very welcome... Oh at the end where you apologized, there is no need to apologize...
Slowing down, creaking joints and reduced mobility is part of lifes cycle unfortunately Tony. Hopefully, Lassie will start to settle and get comfortable so you'll get a better idea of what level of walking she can do. Fingers crossed for you. Cheers.
That sounds about right, thank you for popping by, life does not stop moving forward
You seem like genuinely caring guy Tony. Love seeing Lassie on your videos. Hope she fully recovers soon.
Thank you, fingers crossed
I was kindly offered a Beautiful Japanese Akita by a dog rescue team in the Dog & Gun pub in Keswick. Her name was Mikha, and she waa stunning. I couldn't accept this opportunity as I travel abroad so it wouldn't have been fair on her. Man's best friend. For you Tony, memories... for me? Maybe one day?
yes maybe one day, theyare a tie for sure but great companion when able. I'm lucky at mo in that I have parents who can help - just.... Lassie doing ok at mo, struggles with steps a bit ie slow and deliberate movements but could be worse, and thankfully she appears strong in mind and body, thanks as always
so sorry to hear lassie not too well...ty for a great vlog.
Thanks Simon
I'm sorry Lassie isn't doing good. I hope she improves. Wishing you all the best ❤
Thank you for kind words
Very sorry to hear this. All you can do is look after her.
yes exaclty just do best we can I think she will be ok just keep it very light locally at mo around the house
As usual Tony, your honesty, compassion and love shine through. Lassie's walks with you are integral to your lives.
Thanks Dom great to hear your kind words
So sorry to hear 😢 i hope she's getting better ❤ Sunny had spinal stenosis for a couple of years, never jumped a lot, or went in the water. Some things just happen. I hope you're doing ok as well, you did everything right. Love the shrimp btw lol
Sorry to hear about Sunny, how old was he? I'm look for another border collie puppy as and when one pops along, would be nice with Lassie, just see how it goes all round. Then start thew training thing agasin... oh lord... it's ages ago I did that I'll need refresher courses lol Exactly some things do just happen, better to live life enjoy it and make most of it. Haha little shrimp lol hope youre well and all good where you are
@TonyHobbs Sunny was 12 years old, in the end it was something in his brain.... We decided to get rescues now and not do the puppy stuff again lol everything's good so far. Drop me a message anytime if you want to talk
Its such a shame, dogs give you so much love, wish they could stay with you for longer
Yes exactly Hopefully we get more years just much less out and about Thanks for watching and taking time to comment 😊
Sorry to hear about Lassie Tony. Always tough when a much loved pet starts to slow down. She’s had a wonderful outdoor life and sounds like you have some good ideas on potential workarounds. All the best.
Thanks Sean great comment very kind yez I'll see how she goes over next month but pram sounds an option 😀 she's marginally better just stairs much slower and she likes sitting more esp dinner time 😆
Sorry to hear that. I remember your other collie from back in the day. My collie loved the water as well but ended up with bad arthritis. Maybe that contributed but it's what they love.
I doubt they were ever in water long enough for that. But as you say they enjoyed it ... Probably one of those things unfortunately. She's OK around the house bit bow legged just stairs not as easy Many thanks for watching and commenting
Sorry to hear this pal. Best wishes to lassie .🙏🏼
Thanks Scott. Hopefully its just legs and mind body strong
So sorry to hear about Lassie Tony, I hope it’s temporary & she bounces back soon. I can’t believe she’s 11 already, it doesn’t feel long since you posted your first video of her as a pup.
It doesn't does it ridiculous how time passes.shes bit better from last week so that's encouraging but stairs are an issue she's OK just slow . Thanks for commenting 🙂
Oh no! So sorry Tony... wish the best for all of you.
Tony. Sorry to hear mate. Mines had spinal issues from 2. Keep impact like stairs jumping furniture to a minimum. Great channel hope she’s ok .
Thanks Jason . Yeah that's good advice . She's probably been jumping out car too much. Sorry to hear about yours that's tough from so young . I think this probably wear n tear and probably arthritis slowly creeping in.
@@TonyHobbs also look up Yumove one a day chews. They help.
Hi sorry about news but she enjoyed all the time out with you its tough but you know whats best ❤
Thank you yes we will slow her down and go from there :) many thanks for continuing to follow along
Sorry to hear that Tony, I remember watching the videos when you first got Lassie as a puppy, atb take care.
Yes indeed time marches great you stuck through 😀 thank you 😊
Sorry to hear about lassie tony, she enjoys her best life outdoors with you, thoughts with you sir 😔
Many thanks 😊
Very sad to hear your news , it happened with both my dogs. I feel for you
Its a bit of a shock when happens. Thanks for following our trips
This is hard to hear. Blessings for your continued journey (and Lassie’s).
Thank you Michael. I went to vet just now not sure what it is maybe arthritis. Lassie can walk bit better. Bit the operative word. Better but far from great . Steps stairs bit awkward. She should be ok health wise just walking less. Thank you 😊
Well said Michael, sorry to hear the news Tony.
Hope she improves over the coming weeks. Shes lucky dog to be going on awesome camping trips on dartmoor 💪🙂
Hopefully she shows some signs of improvement over next few weeks, shesmarginally better still struggles with steps so I think very light future walks may be possible, at mo around the house... thank you for kind words
How do you rate the akto just brought one £340 second hand hecsaid only been use 7 times pictures look good condition
I think it's excellent, good venting adequate room to a degree, bit heavy these days but it's a strong tent will last you years and a good price, enjoy it. I've a few vids with mine.
