Our goal here at Fish North Georgia is to provide information and entertainment about the sport we love. Fishing is so much more than just casting a line in the water. We strive to build up the angling and outdoor community not only here in north Georgia, but across the country and beyond. By doing videos, interviewing experts and anglers from across all the spectrums of the fishing world, and simply having fun with each other, we aim to help you become a better angler and part of something that's even more important, our family. Together we can help each other and make the sport of fishing something that we are proud to pass down to the next generation.

We run a night tournament series up in Michigan, the gap in knowledge has presented some interesting results
Dudes a Hammer and a great guy!!
Those pro bubba scales are awesome!
Wait… the younger is the two old guys, he’s the guy that works with his son and rebuilds Copar wreck trucks and sells them right?
Are you talking about the host Danny?
@@FishNorthGeorgia yes
😮 I'm 60 and retired! I have been saying every year I'm going to do some night fishing *** And never do < I will get out one night this year !! And I dont have to get up a 3am << great info << TY PEACE 😊😊😊
Thanks for watching our video!
Excellent , one of the best I've ever watched,, ole school on the water knowledge
He's the man! Thanks for watching!!
Twin arm two blade Indiana copper color no.4 blade black skirt. Black blue pork trailer
Definitely a good set up right there!
Great video! The two things I can add. 1. If you're going to fish for Smallmouth bass make sure you have a good split ring (not thin wire) on the spinnerbait blade. They will rip it right off. The other is to make sure you have a tight knot on the r-bend of the spinnerbait, otherwise the line will go to the blade end and you'll end up with a straight spinnerbait. Bill is right, the 35 gauge wire is the sweet spot for spinnerbait. Those two fish I'm holding up were on spinnerbaits at night. Thank you Bill. P.S. Turn off the depth finder once you start fishing.
Thanks for sharing the tip! That's what it's all about!!
Loved this video. Never seen anybody put out a night time spinner bait fishing video. Up here in Tennessee, it's alive and well. Using Dale Hollow tackle spinner baits as well as hoppys and sloans. They're eating it up at Center hill right now for us
Awesome Show
Thank you!
I'm the best @ night. Only 10 years of the night. Mastered it my first year. It's very simple fishing and easier to catch smarter fish.
It's definitely a great time for those who know how to do it! Thanks for watching!!
This is a goldmine. Awesome interview!
OLD SCHOOL WISDOM IS THE BEST! Always respect your elders, thank you sir 👍🏻
Thanks for watching!! Bill is the man!
Great episode guys!!! 🔥
Thank you!
The realest most genuine informative video on night fishing and fishing in general insights I’ve ever witnessed seriously thank you I hope you have him back soon!
Thanks for watching! Bill is a great friend so I'll have him back on very soon!
I throw the wacky rig religiously as well. I usually add a 1/8oz weighted VMC wacky hook with a Yamamoto senko. It is indeed dummy proof lol.
My favorite way to bass fish! Thanks for watching!
What brand of grub was that
I'll ask him today and post.
Can't figure what's done with that first hook after the fluke is pulled past the eye of the hook.
That’s just used to thread the line through the fluke. Once the line is the line is through, you no longer need that hook.
Been hooking it that way for years better hook up ratio
HOT TIPS" THANX " from Idaho!
Thanks for watching!!
New bass fisher here😎🤙🏾This is GOLD! Mahalo
That’s awesome! Glad it helped.
Another version of that is to take a pop rivet and insert the tube part into the nose of the bait. Then your line runs inside the tube. You will go through fewer baits and the tube, while not heavy at all, will give the fluke a little more weight. The only downside to this is if you are like me and run a swivel about 2 feet above the bait, then when you retie you have to retie everything from the the swivel down. I tend to use the EWG hook more now because of the way and speed I am fishing it, but the treble will stick more fish. Glad Rob shared his "secret" rig.
That makes a lot of sense! Definitely need to add that to this video.
You can get some “free to me” coffee stirrers at the gas station and cut them into small pieces to put in the nose of the bait as a slide for the line through to keep from ripping up the baits and to make them slide up and down your line easier. Just be sure to take something like the point of a nail weight and use it to kind of flare out each end of the coffee stirrer after you cut it and before you insert it into the bait. That way it smooths any potentially sharp edges left by cutting it. That way it doesn’t damage your line at all.
That’s a great addition to this! I’ll have to try that.
Bill has so much knowledge I can’t take it all in. Need to take another trip with him
We all do!
I wonder if you kind of revitalize a spent swivel with a couple shots of WD40 during the night. This gentleman is an absolute gem.
He's the man!
I really enjoy watching FNGO. Unfortunatley don't get to see it live often. Good job to all!
We appreciate you watching regardless of when it is!!
Well dang - how about a little warning.
Sorry, we went a day early due to holiday.
Hell yea. Happy 4th. It’s HOT.
Dang. Snuck this one in a day early 😂 Enjoyed the visit this past Monday !
Yeah since the holiday was on Thursday night, we jumped ahead a day! Enjoyed the visit as well! I need you to send me your contact information to [email protected] if you don't mind!!
@FishNorthGeorgia 10-4 Email sent. Talked to HP today I'll explain when we talk .
Great show boys! Sorry I missed this one live, been a busy feller! I was not watching the debate though, if I needed to see vegetables fight I’d probably find that on KZread somewhere😂
This guy reminds me of the tackle shop owner of the shop I used to try to hang out in. My guy was a biker but owned a tackle shop. Used to sneak in he shop and eavesdrop on Friday nights before the weekend tourneys.
….and he’s got great beer taste. Yuengling lager is a great value.
I get home from work at 11pm. This episode is gold for me.
I bin thinking about this here in the northeast. We’ve had more than our share of heat and humidity so far this summer. But we’ve also had a lot of hot days with a good breeze or wind. Really helps in the clearer quarry lakes around here.
Make a lengthy fish story video, specifically night fishing!!
Been using berkley big game 15 for 30 years. Won many tournaments with it.
Enjoying the small reservoir discussion. Thanks guys.
Great show! Had to come back to finish it thismorning. Love all the fish care tips!
Great guest and video ! Very good insights on safety at night . Years ago I had a near miss after midnight with a float tuber that was out in the middle of a small lake with no lights of any kind on . Luckily I was slowly crossing a lake arm to the opposite bank and not on pad maybe going 5-7 MPH . with my nav lights on when I was just about on him he turns a flash light on at the last second and starts yelling , I had to swerve hard to miss him . IDIOT ! I said to myself .
That Black Light fishing is fun stuff. I got to do it a bunch last summer on Lanier
Been using it for decades , caught literally tons of fish on the stuff . It simply works …
Wrong on the TVA and stocking. Where did you get that information? Only program I have ever heard mentioned was a 3 million on Trout program for 2021 thru 2024. Tva is quick to tell everyone they are not in the fishing industry .
When you gotta go, you gotta go ! 😂😂
I fish a lake that has Blue back but there is no grass or trees. Just man made brush piles & silt. Years ago a spinner bait was juice but anymore the bait has to be dragged through a brush pile or rock pile to even get a bite after sunset. The herring were introduced along with spotted bass 12 to 15 years ago but it’s easily the hardest lake you will ever fish if you want to catch a bass over 3lbs. What’s funny is that there are 7+ pretty heavy. Just extremely shy about everything a fish can be.
Duck you and your 50-75 sticks a day. 😅
You don't want them in lanier or any other lake in georgia! I wish they didn't stock stripped bass in lanier !! Large mouth bass man!! Bass fishing..That's cool if you want muskies. Take your ass up north!! It will destroy the spotted bass and largemouth fishing. It's not a great idea. Georgia, DNR please do not do that in georgia !! Lol that's crazy 🤪
Lanier has been ruined by spotted bass and anglers that stocked them there. Same with most other lakes in Georgia. They out compete the other bass species such as smallies and even largemouth and shoal bass and hybridize with them as well sometimes. We definitely should have musky in Blue Ridge and Nottley as that is their natural range. Why not go south so you can catch bass and let the fish that are native come back? Seems like a fair trade off as we’d both get what we wanted at that point.
@philliphutcheson4219 You are absolutely rite about the spotted bass!! I have seen a lot of cross breeding in some electric only northern ga lakes! Not far from where I live! Great, the brown trout in the hooch ! Awesome. I'm not arguing with you, man!! They are apex predators. Maybe we should bring grizzly bear to north as well! Definitely interesting, man.
@@prolificfishing4818 it’s funny you mention grizzly. They actually extended into middle Arkansas at the time of the Louisiana Purchase back in the 1800’s. Hell we used to have wolves, elk and even bison here. Course long before you or I were here. Same things with the upland game birds such as quail & grouse. Georgia DNR hasn’t done much for the native species aside from let them dwindle to nothing. At the same time, invasive species like the spotted bass or even brown trout have replaced them for one reason or nother. It’s up to us to work with DNR and get’em back
They did say a few were around!! You seem like a cool guy! Love your videos and your time on the fish north ga pod!! Yes sir, 👍.
@@prolificfishing4818 I’m just trying to catch big fish and help get the word out bout what’s possible here. Cuz then you and I and everyone benefits.👊
I’m never missing another live show again. Almost shit myself driving to work thismorning😂
We may have had a little fun with this one.
Just for some possible assistance in the future. They make toilet seats that snap onto a 5 gallon bucket. Idk where you’re gonna keep a 5 gallon bucket in a bass boat but that’s a problem you’re gonna have to solve on your own. There’s always a bucket in the catfish boat. Then all you gatta have is toilet paper and some Lysol to rinse the bucket out with.
Does goat cheese work as well as goats milk because we can just have an extra excuse for eating Mexican food
The watermelon part was funny. Wasn’t ready for the goats milk part. 😂😂😂
How do you know it’s grown in Ga? I dunno, the sign says it is. 😂😂😂
We had a lot of fun last night but I definitely wasn't prepared either for some of those exchanges, lol!
@@FishNorthGeorgia a couple of those right turns ended up taking a hard left. And it’s not nascar where all left turns are still alright. 🤣🤣
