if it looks better than before , its improvement .. but .. (and dont take it like critique ) but it looks like a fishtank , not aquarium or landscaped. you should watch some vids on terrarium or aquascaping . its not that hard to build something. a backwall , plant wise , a theme . its just like your fish . some of them live at the bottem , some in the middle , some at the top. you do have some variety of plants , and a stucture , but ask yourself this : if you were a fish , would you wanna live in this tank? would you have places to go ? plants to play around , etc.. think in 3 demensions , not just the front view . give the fish something to do , explore , more plants , more hight layers , create zones . you dont need to spend a lot , most things you can build . get some gorilla glue , a mat to glue moss on , the stone structure is not a cave , but you could use it as a base to build around with plants . so many nice things to do . i always feel sad to see an empty tank for fish. you are the god who created their world

oh my, that's great advice, actually, in a few weeks I'm going to do an update on the tank and let me tell you, the plants have exploded in growth so it will (hopefully) look more complex and the fish will have many more places to hide and play. Also, I have a few plants coming in the mail which I am hoping to add in the next update. Thanks so much for the comment, I'll make sure to improve it! 😁

If you are growing plants, swap out the bubbles for a filter. You don't actually need either, but a filter will introduce water circulation. Bubbles will make your plants stunted. The plants already provide enough oxygen.

Yes, that's a great suggestion, but there are a few reasons as to why I chose to use a sponge filter for this pond. Like the other variations of filters, the sponge filter carries a lot of beneficial bacteria which helps process the ammonia and nitrite to nitrate. I also chose the sponge filter because for this particular pond, I wanted it to be as cheap as possible and I already had a spare sponge filter that was cycled so I used that. I didn't show it, but the airline tubing I connected to the sponge filter is also connected to 3 more ponds so that I can run 4 ponds off the single air pump (which helps save money/power). Also, the point of this pond is to breed the guppies, not to grow the plants. If the goal were to grow plants, I would have done many things differently, thank you for the suggestion though! 😄

Died in my tanks, I cant keep floating plants alive

When I first got my frogbit, about half of it died. So I placed them pretty far away from where my filter was and made sure they got at least 9 hours of light a day, even leaving frogbit in a bucket outside should keep it alive and thriving providing it has plenty of sunlight during the day 😁
