My favorite bikes of ALL TIME are the Honda VTX 1300, and the Suzuki GSXR-1000. This is where I share my experience and tips on maintenance jobs, repairs & mods… and the riding… all while trying to stay out of trouble with the millicents and the Mrs.
I started on mini-bikes at age 6, moved on to dirt bikes at age 12, and street bikes at age 16, and I love all bikes, from SuperSports to dirt bikes, and I look forward to bringing more bikes into the stable! Stay tuned 👍🏻

When I’m riding with scenery like that and no traffic my eyes want to wander about instead of what’s in from of my path. That might just get me one day.
I just absolutely love that sound
Thanks for the feedback my friend, I truly appreciate it 😎
I have an '07, how did you achieve that sound? Is it just the way the mic is placed? Mine is factory and I enjoy the sound and torque. second is a little weaker than I would like but not bad at all.
I didn't see the full description... now I know 😂👍🏼 Nice.
Thanks for the comment and question! The mic is sticking out of my pocket on the exhaust side 😎👍🏻 congrats on a great bike
Intense traffic? No way 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hey that’s thick of rush hour around here 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I got VT 600 CD and run straight pipes, 40 HP, 35 torque and the bike runs much better didn't re jet the carb either. I'm too poor for a HD and it's like a little softtail sporty.😂
Yes! The VLX 600’s are great bikes, sound great too 💪😎
Sounds awesome!! I have an 07 vtx1300 and wanting to do something. Is yours cobra full exhaust or slip ons?
Hey thanks for the comment, and congrats on having an awesome bike! This is the full system including the headers. I also have a full installation video on this channel so if you decide to go that route, it’s a pretty good reference 😎👍🏻
Can you share the link to your phone mount?
I bought it a long time ago on ebay, I don’t have the link, but it’s called a “one-push motorcycle phone mount” 😎
Mic placement bro?
Sticking out pants pocket 😎👍🏻
@@vtxfan thanks
This and gxrs are best souding bikes
Agreed! The GSXR is my favorite flat-plane screamer 😎👍🏻
next comes a #motopron intro when starting the engine? god i hate LCD dashes. mechanical tachometer is the pinnacle of motorcycle joy
Everybody’s going with the tft displays nowadays. They just don’t make them like they used to
Indeed rsv4 is the best sounding bike.
I agree 100 percent 💯☝️
If it turns on yes.
Nice mate. Gabro map, airbox and stack upgrade from Aspecialparts, trust me. 🎉
Sounds like a great idea, I will pass that on to the owner 👍🏻
hi, nice video! I wanted to ask you a question: is it possible to change only the exhaust pipes? or do we necessarily have to change the entire exhaust?
I think Cobra makes slip-ons, so that’s always an option 👍🏻
Mine is straight piped. Honestly it kind of sounds the same until you hit higher speeds. What a difference.
Yes, the baffles that come with the Cobras just take a little of the edge off at lower revs, but make a significant difference on the highway
@@vtxfan I’ll look into the whole system now. Stay safe though man. Honestly power drifting & dumping the clutch & twisting the throttle is so much fun in this bike, I love it when the back tire starts going to the side. Makes me laugh in bliss.
These are called Hi-Rail vehicles. Hi- from Highway.
Thanks, I take it from your handle you know a lot about these 👍🏻
@@vtxfan nope lol.
Are those the cobra dragsters?
They are not the Dragsters, these are the Speedsters. The Dragsters sound great too, and are a bit lighter
Sounds like an old peterbilt, it is gorgeous
Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it. I also love the sound of the old Pete 😎👍🏻
Did you have to jet the carb?
Still running stock jets, but I also am still using the unmodified stock air box, and mixture seems to be spot on
How lame
Thanks 👍🏻
$2.96 @ the shell, where the hell is tht at!??
That’s Winchester VA my friend 👍🏻
@@vtxfan good stuff, take care..
Where the roads have no curves 👍🏼🇺🇲🇺🇲🤪😜🤣🇧🇷
What Bike and exhaust, please 🤔
This is a 2021 Aprilia RSV4 1100, STOCK exhaust 👍🏻
@@vtxfan 🫶
Thank you
You’re welcome my friend 👍🏻
That wasn’t even worth posting. A 90 year old lady with a walker would’ve done the same thing.
I would never try to scare a 90yo lady 😂
pretty sure any animal sees something headed for them they gon move
Kid on bicycle more interesting
No doubt 🤙
i wonder what song he’s listening to
Something by Cynthia Erivo?☝️😎…
This got to be oregon lol
😂
Keep it gangsta
🙏🏻💯🔥
I WORK ON THAT ROAD
🙌😎👍🏻🙏🏻
That is strange.
😵💫☝️
Damn that biker really stood up to you
😂☝️
I'm riding my motorcycle in the kitchen. 😅
Question: Is it better to torque the head exhaust bolts first, then tighten frame exhaust bracket bolts second? I noticed you did the bracket bolts first. Just curious what instructions state?
This was how they laid it out in the instructions, so far far no problems 👍🏻
Finally found a guy like me :D Felloe 1300 dreamer here as well. Never gonna sell mine, just gave him everything new after rough 26,000miles on it. Question about the exhaust tho, doesnt it cause issues due to it bein loud?I think ill have problems and Germany and hence never clicked on the "Purchase"
Congrats on having a killer bike bro 😎👍🏻. Yeah man I hear you about the noise rules. We’re not really supposed to alter it in any way, so I take it easy through the neighborhood, and near the po-po. It’s pretty chill until you really get on it hard, but you have options like wrapping the baffles, or replacing them with the Cobra Quiet Core baffles (god forbid) 😂
@@vtxfan i mean im fine even drilling it tbh(dont want reeeeaaallly loud) But how do i pass the inspection test once i have holes in it or one that isnt the original(everyother is forbidden except Falcons')
That’s a great question. Some inspectors are more understanding than others, but I don’t know. That’s why I kept my stock exhaust, just in case I can’t find an inspector who will approve it.
Don’t know if you will see this or not but can you do a carburetor rebuild video on the VTX 1300?
I have been fortunate enough to have no carb issues so far, but at some point if I do, I will make a video of the entire process in detail 😎👍🏻
Looks and sounds great. I love my 04. What mirrors are those?
Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it! I don’t know what brand the mirrors are, they were on the bike when I got it😎👍🏻
Te a shadow 750 2013
The Shadow 750 is a great bike 👍🏻
Brasil
can i drive from cali to AZ comfortably on a VTX 1800 or 1300? Im going to get one as my first bike and spend a few weeks on it before i transfer it to AZ
I would think so, though I probably wouldn’t want to take a long ride on the stock seat
Yes you can
Can confirm with my VTX
never use those castle nuts with after market pipes they bottom out
That is true, I have heard that. I seem to be fortunate so far, (the fresh gaskets help) but if they do bottom out when I re-tighten everything up, I will use a washer or two, to make up the difference 👍🏻
May want to re-edit it and make the sound stereo instead of mono... would sound so much better.
Yes 👍🏻 I appreciate the feedback. I’m going to try that setup next recording
I've got a headset on, and sound is coming into both ears.
@tacticalbfg - My headset is a Blue Parrot, and one can be purchased at almost any national truck stop. Also, I'm listening on an Android phone.
@@kenmammel7748 That's the problem... the blue parrot will take a mono signal and make it stereo. Go listen to a surround sound test file and watch how the sound never moves around your position.
Sounds worse than my Shadow 750 with stock pipes. Like it's dying or something. Now that've seen how unbelievable quiet electric bikes like the Liveware is, the goal is definitely less noise, not more. That stuff gives you a headache after hours of having to listen to it.
I like the Cobra pipes
Ive got long pipes on mine, can't really hear it on the bike but other people have told me it's quite loud when I go by. No baffles, just long pipes.
I’ve got the same VTX!! Did you have to tune the carb after installing those sweet sounding pipes?
Thanks so much for the comment, and congrats on having an awesome bike! I did not re-jet my carb, at least not yet. From what I read in the forums, you only have to rejet if you change the pipes AND modify the air intake. I’m kind of on the borderline running a K&N air filter in the stock air box. I will check the spark plugs soon to see if it’s running lean, but it doesn’t appear to be so far👍🏻
@@vtxfan I'm At A 190/55 Jet Set Now ------ Considering 200/65 ----------- And Iridium NGK Plugs ? Maybe ---------- Great Bike / Great Sound / Great Video
Nice Video, Liked and subscribed ✌
except for the screaming stuff you added, that was unnecessary
😂
@@vtxfan Castle nuts or for using cotter pins. ACORN nuts bottom out...
I have heard that, have been lucky so far they haven’t bottomed out, probably because I replaced the exhaust gaskets, no leaks in 8,000miles, but if they do I will put some washers under the nuts, and would recommend that as well. 👍🏻
I have the same bike with that same Cobra system on it and it rocks! Great sound and looks! I like the sound of the cobra pipes as much as the next guy, but I still like my stereo while I'm cruising thru the mountains.
🙏🏻😎👍🏻🔥
I took my baffles out and wrapped them with muffler insulation. Now they sound alot better and don't have the nasty tinny blatty sound anymore. Yes, I started it up with the baffles out and it was stupid loud. I hate people who run it like that. Just annoyingly loud and obnoxious.
I’m thinking about doing the same thing. I think it would still sound great while taking the edge off. What’s it like getting those baffles out and back in?
@@vtxfan It was fairly easy getting the baffles out. I wrapped them with a little too much and had a bitch of a time trying to shove them back in, but I managed to by twisting them back and forth, then lined the holes for the bolts and got'r done! They do sound better. It's been a couple years now and I may pull them out and see how it's lasting or if it burns out or not.
This isn't even my style of bike , but gotta admit, pretty cool.
Thanks for the comment my friend, made my day!👍🏻
