Awesome
Wow. Professional 👍🏻
Great video. Exactly what I need. Before i rush and buy hot welders, is it possible to do the same using mesh and 2K components for cold welding?
When you say "cold welding" are you referring to adhesives? If so, adhesives won't work. You'll need a plastic welder.
@@polyvance Yes, I meant adhesives.
Great!! Appreciate the professional, thorough but simple to understand but VO and video demos. This stuff looks amazing
Thanks for watching!
I liked the video, I'm not complaining, but it would have been nice to see the tank cut open after the repairs to see the "mushrooming" of the material inside the tank.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Хорошо сделано, но с нескольких сторон нужно. Так эффективней и надёжно
Where do i find this in Italy?
You can view our list of international distributors and contact the distributors near you to see if they carry it. www.polyvance.com/International-Distributors/
The white coat locked in the street cred
GREAT video. HORRIBLE UNNECESSARY MUSIC. CAN IT.
What about thermoset plastics? I'd love to repair anout ten 800 dollar vacuums I have at work. The costs of the parts are ridiculous, and some fail easier than they should.
Call our tech support at 800-633-3047 and they may be able to help you with a solution. If you know what kind of thermoset plastic it is, that would be even better.
Yes sir!
What would you recommend if clear coat yellows, & peals off after a month or 2
Any advice how to pre drill screws into polyethylene tank to install a pump
Drill pilot holes and use rubber washers between the screws and the tank.
Appreciate the advice a lot
Big Tip.. on the inside of the pannel there should be raised letters or numbers. Stating the type of plastic the pannel is made of, this way you can look it up and choose the correct plastic filler rods to use !
Yes! Identifying the plastic is essential!
Great video! Thank you for the education…. My 01 Jeep xj also thanks you….
Thanks for watching!
What type of shop can do this for me?
I thought when I first started watching this video it was going to end up looking like crap, but it turned out very good, i had a 260z with a damaged dashboard just that one.
Thanks for watching!

Was that HDPE ? Show and discuss the tool !
It is polyethylene, most likely HDPE. We usually recommend repairing HDPE using LDPE welding rod because it is easier to work with. In this video, we used a hot air plastic welder to melt the rod and an airless plastic welder to smooth the weld. You can see our hot air plastic welders here: www.polyvance.com/Hot-Air-Welders-1/
@@polyvance Great ! Thank you. Just what I needed.

Get rid of the music NOT GOOD
Nice work 👍
How tell how you removed the whole light fixture first 😅
We had something like that in the nacy to shrink electric tubing. We called it an ht900. It didn't run on electric but compressed air. Temperature reach 900°f.
Kit costs more than a new radiator
Love the tune...... what kind of spray was that? please. Thx. Nice job

Great video, the best I've found, actually looks like he knows what he's doing.
Thank you!
what kind of soldering additive is that
We used our airless welder with our R01 polyurethane welding rod: www.polyvance.com/Polyurethane-1/
this is amazing but without all that cool equipment, who can do this for the 1 personal headlight repair they need to do? Surely there's a way a DIY individual can repair a single headlight that doesnt require all these special tools and materials?
insane. so professional I dont think 90% of regular folk like me have a hope of doing it this well. Gonna stick to epoxy, lol.
Great video... Lose the music, please. 👍
The tech that holds the bumper is making pressure to the first and on the second (was repaired) pulls stronger.
Wow, I have seen many videos as plastic welding. This is the nicest and quietest and professional made video I have ever seen. I am a subscriber!
Thank you!
How loud is it? Cant find a video without background noise. Thanks!
Great instruction, horrible music
Proceeds to re install a pitted chrome ring steering wheel.
That was fixed shortly after :) www.polyvance.com/images_old/SteeringWheelReChromed.jpg
Plastifix is simply baking soda and super glue. Do it yourself. Save money.
Where do you work?
Hi. We're a company that manufactures plastic repair and refinishing products. We're based in Alabama.
The broken one has been repaired. Might be a good idea 💡 to strengthen the rest of the tabs in the same manner as the repaired one. That's what I did with my bumper. I did the same process with my back window 🪟 louvre
The dash cracked because plastic dries out and gets brittle, and then is exposed to changing temperatures. You repaired one cracked area, but there is nothing to stop the rest of the dash from cracking, this may have to be done all over again, for other cracks that will invariably develop later 🤷♂️
This is true to a point. With a coating on the dash, the dash's deterioration is greatly slowed and a dash repair tends to be surprisingly reliable. The repair process also takes some of the stress out of the remaining dash, so this helps a little too. When done correctly a dash repair will last for many years.
Is this possible without a 240 power supply?
The surface of the dash doesn't resemble to original at all. What a failure of a product. Yuk. Just get people who specialise to do it for you.
❤❤❤
I used this for the first time on a pretty jagged and long crack that went over the edge. Worked well but will take practice to gain that muscle memory to keep the ribbon on the whole iron.
Thanks for the update! We're glad it worked well for you.
