Just got mine yesterday. OMG, it's amazing. Perfect size for me. Looks stunning. I have owned a Panerai, Jager, Bell and Ross, and an older Omega diver 300 for almost 20 years. The Omega is the only watch that didn't give me any trouble and kept perfect time. Love my new watch and will NEVER part with it. Sold my entire collection last year and have been wearing a G-shock. Now I have a watch to be proud of again.

I still love my Seamaster, the ceramic still has not one scratch (even though I wear it several times a week) and it is a very reliable caliber (max. 5 seconds fast a day, never too slow. What I love most is looking at it‘s design. The etched waves are incredible, the balance of the no date design perfect. I can still wholeheartedly recommend the watch. I bought it with the rubber strap, however, the Omega nato strap I bought later proved to be even more comfortable. Go ahead and get it!

The sub is more than the mere watch and its specs, it is an icon in the watch world and therefore desirable. The seamaster is arguably the better watch, but because of its availability and the many variants it will probably never obtain cult status.

now the bond no time to die has come out. Do you recommend this or the bond. both has no date which i like.

I think the watches are quite different from each other, even though they come from the same line. I really love the look of the 300M 007 Edition, it has a vintage and a distinct military look, I think. It is a bit smaller than the ceramic OMEGA Seamaster Diver, is for smaller wrists it may be more suitable. I am not sure whether I like the Milanese bracelet, though. Incidentally, I wear my ceramic version mostly with a nato strap, which is more comfortable than the rubber strap, especially when it is warm. When it comes to scratch resistance, I think the ceramic model still has the edge on the titanium grade 2 of the Bond watch. Even though I have been wearing my ceramic Seamaster 300 M almost daily since I got it, it still shows absolutely no signs of wear, no scratches, nothing, it is really amazing. I have not seen the 007 Edition in person, so I can’t say anything about the way it wears, but it ought to be really sleek and lightweight judging by the data. So: Which one do I recommend? I think both of them have a great design, the looks of this Bond watch are certainly far ahead of the last Bond Edition! I personally still prefer the Ceramic version, but then I am partial 🤪. I’d say: Go for the one which takes your heart!
@kittenfan4 жыл бұрын
@@watch_see Thank you so much for your reply. this may sound stupid, but do you recommend this watch over submariner rolex no date?? and is it easy to get 3rd party strap for this watch??
@watch_see4 жыл бұрын
BullionWATCH First to the question about the availability of third party straps: It is most certainly easier to get third party straps for the Bond Edition than for the ceramic version of the Semester 300 M. The reason is that the 007 Edition has a distance between the lugs of 20 mm, which is much more common with strap producers than the 21 mm of the ceramic. Now to the question about the Rolex submariner: I personally think that the movement in the OMEGA is superior to the Rolex Submariner, as is the material (ceramic vs. stainless steel). The movement aspect may change soon, if Rolex switches to the 3235 movement for the submariner, which was widely expected to happen this year. The material will stay the same, of course. For me, the submariner is simply to small, 40 mm don’t look good on my wrist. But the greatest advantage the Sub has over the Omega certainly is it’s value retention. This aspect is common for all Rolex steel sports models, however, it also entails a limited availability. I had also considered a submariner no date, but decided against it.

you are not scared of breaking that ceramic case? i prefer steel because ceramic, it will shatter if you ever drop the watch
@watch_see4 жыл бұрын
Of course, I try not to drop it ... but it really has the advantage of not showing any scratches, even though I have worn it almost daily since I got it. I guess it is a trade off, but I think it doesn’t happen too often that the ceramic models break.
@rossdonison49994 жыл бұрын
I’ve got a couple of ceramic omega watches... Planet Ocean Deep Black and the Speedmaster DSOTM... and both have been banged around and still look perfect. In fact, I dive with the Deep Black and have whacked it against the ladder, also the side if the boat when lifting gear up, and other hard surfaces when prepping gear. It’s pristine. The zirconium they use is hard as nails. It’s likely going to survive all but the nastiest drops. I’d be honestly more concerned about the movement inside if you smacked it hatd enough to chip the ceramic. But I think it’s pretty tough stuff, and will look perfect forever if treated reasonably well.
