Can you please tell me which perlite you are using? The couple times I’ve purchased perlite it’s so small making it a pain in the butt!🙈

Did you try root growth powder? I have Bontone root growth powder and it works. I've done fig trees, English Ivy with it and other plants. Works great.

Darling, you showed all the wrong way. I’m in come on wrapping a plant in Plastic? Who told you that depriving a living breathing thing like Aleve of oxygen is gonna make it grow roots?…🙄

These are amateur methods of propagating a palm tree and it seems to me that none of those two methods are appropriate not only that but wrapping a leaf in plastic? Jesus, you gotta be kidding me.

In the second example, how can you wrap between plastic and expected the chlorophyll to survive? This is like killing the tree right there it needs to to breathe. Have you heard of chlorophyll chlorophyll needs oxygen?

The reason it did not work out is either the leaf was cut out or picked up too late or you didn’t put sufficient water. Yeah I can see even at the end you have only like half of like 1 inch of water it has to be filled up to the top to stimulate the rest of the, Stem and

Yo Ruby, I am right there with you sis. Haha. Been trying different methods every now and then for a while but no success, so thanks for clearing that up! Also love your passion and style, it’s wicked. I’ve been doing heaps of fishbone ferns lately and having decent success with that. It seems like when there is a nodule in the roots you are on to a winner. Happy propagating and good luck to ya! ☀️ 🌱

Btw, I’ve heard wild honey on the cut edge after it’s dried after cutting for an hour or two can help prevent rot. I think it works like an antiseptic.

Do not put water in the tab in the aquarium only and cover the surface so that the moisture does not come out use moss in tab and put the Monstera.

I tried the same when I was first gardening. Every palm tree ever has come from a seed. That's it no other option :( and the ones that have suckers/ pups where also originally stared by one seed. Happy growing

Put it in water! I growed 4 yukka in this way! But it takes time 3 to 4 months! I put them in the water outside to the sun and when I was ready to throw them I saw they were full of roots! It's been a year from that moment and they growed very big and healthy!
