  That Japan vs Chinese game can maybe be the proof we need to stop going crazy about one player having more relics. Even in the 50+ minute game where it came down to Ressource attrition the 5 relics with tithe barns did not matter

  I just wanted to say again what a terrible idea this tournament map format was. I skip large parts of it and what i have watched I've had in the background and ended up falling asleep. The only interesting games were on land maps. People do want to watch games they relate to..on maps they play, imo

  Beautiful comentary, beautiful matches, but the intro/outro is WAY too loud compared to the volume during the matches. please fix that in future.

  Great bombards one shottint Springalds, while taking 8 or more shots to be destroyed is so silly. They shred groups of infantry, rate any building in seconds AND counter siege. That’s so anti fun.

  Yeah they are boring. It's okay to have 1 water map in 5 maps. 1 Hybrid and 3 normal land maps.

  I think what makes them boring is that on water maps, you have to be almost 100 percent committed on water. And ships battle is so badly designed in aoe4. It's all about hulk spam and demolition ship spam. These water matches, all you see is 2 balls of ships, fire several times at each other, and immediately have to back off after demolition ships come near, and this goes on repeat for 100 times in one game. Whoever fucks up first loses, there is literally no strategy, just apm. Land maps are much more enjoyable, there are so many different plays, units, situations.

  I think this partly because they decided to make demo’s part of the rock-paper-scissors of naval combat. I feel like a ramming/boarding melee style ship would’ve been much better . They’d get a decent charge bonus and then would enter a sustained combat where they would out trade the Springald ships, and maybe even or slightly worse trade with arrow ships. Plus they would slow or lock down movement of ships the grapple. Gives more room for civs having different stats for ships as well, like some get more ram damage, some more boarding damage, some more movement, etc.

  Way too many Water/water-y maps. I like AoE4 because of its many civs with diverse unit-rosters, on water there are literally only 4 or 5 units to choose from, and all factions only have the same ones its so boring IMO. Also, I hate that OotD has been degraded to a water civ, i wanna see cool golden elite units and not the same bland ships that everyone has hahah

  1 forced water map in a best of 5 is fine with me. These hybrid maps are not for me. With troops and ships sharing the majority of the map.

  The first game was a colossal throw by Lucifron. He had his whole army in Beasty's base and was just shooting at buildings with Archers. If he had built some Rams instead, it would have been devastating for Beasty.

  It feels Beasty lost to MarineLord way before the match in his head and tried to compensate for it by trying to gain an advantage by rushing Castle in literally every single game barring a few only to be rushed by ML and just like that it was over. I don't think ML even broke a sweat in finals. Adding to that were the water maps where match ends after just 1 bad fight !
