I'm Nathan Zed

"DON'T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE!!" I type, as I sit at my laptop, the rest of my body completely motionless. The click-clack sound of the keyboard echoing in my ears long after I had finished typing. I remain still for what seems like an eternity, only moving to wipe the single tear streaming from my right eye. "Not like this...", I let the whisper escape my lips loud enough for anyone nearby to hear me.
No one is nearby.

Nash Grier is very homophobic. Girls look up as role model hes a douchebag. I wonder what Charlie Sheen would do to him? He has HIV I wonder what he would do to Nash? Gils like Nash because they think he's handsome that does not make him a good role model.

Honestly, I can't see anything wrong with Avatar. It tells a complete story and does it perfectly. I would have been totally fine if there had never been a sequel but I'm glad there was one. Way of Water doesn't quite match the original but that's only because it's clearly setting up for a sequel instead of being a standalone film.

Cancel culture and PC foreign markets aside, I quietly realized that it is very hard for comedy films in theaters to compete with comedy television shows. Sometimes movies that are a straight comedy feel like an extended episode of a situation comedy series - which does not make said comedy films any less worth watching, but it does make their stories feel like they dragged out too long to be a full movie, when they could have just been one or three half-hour episodes. Episodic television comedies like 2 Broke Girls and Superstore, and especially serialized television comedies like The Last Man On Earth and The Good Place, make comedy films feel more obsolete to me than they were in the previous decade. The point is, we can not blame the "death" of comedy movies solely on action blockbusters and superhero comic franchises becoming a more lucrative market that buries the smaller stuff. To make a long story short, television situation comedy has very recently evolved to be more popular than film situation comedy. However, I still find new good comedy films worth watching every now and then, like No Hard Feelings and Bottoms. Looking back, the 40-Year Old Virgin and Superbad are classic comedy films with edgy R-rated comedy, and therefore have something of value we would not get on our typical network television sitcom. No Hard Feelings, Joy Ride and Bottoms are all movies I watched in movie theaters with my mom that found a way to keep the art of R-rated comedy alive and well in 2023, proving that we can find new ways to write romantic comedies and teen comedies to still be relevant and unique in the 2020s, in a much different way from how they were in the 1980s. The truth is, comedy movies are only dead in the same technical way that the Amphibia characters Anne Boonchuy and Marcy Wu are dead. August 11, 2024, 4:03pm

I would like to also mention an album very near and dear to my heart, Alice in chains self titled album. While the album isn't as widely known as their other albums, i personaly think it's as great as Dirt or Jar of flies. The albums opener, "Grind", i think perfectly sets the mood of the whole album: More grundgier, more darker and a lot more sadder. As the album goes on, the songs become progresively more darker and more deppresed (and there's also some hint of melancholy in there). This is especially true with it's second half. While i don't think this was intentional, especially considering that the band at that point were being rushed by the record label to finish the album faster (and that rushed nature is especially noticible on "Nothin' song"), i still think it turned out to be a pretty solid (even great) album and sadly, their last ("Over now" makes me deppresed man)

I know we're all talking about hip hop here but King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard don't get enough credit for how well paced their albums are, and they've made over 25 of them at this point. They are freakin masters of album sequencing. They even have a proper example of that "last song loops into the first song" thing you mentioned here in their infinitely-looping 9-song opus Nonagon Infinity.

finally a reviewer with actual good taste in music my job at studio besides engineer was for 3 years having such a good ear for what works essentially told ppl hey you suck in the best supportive way possible and was a mini Rubin in a sense .... Im wondering your thoughts on Jokrtherappers albums either "Perfect Weather On Middle Path" "Cosmic Angel Dust" or "Joke of Kings Reality" in a way they all are sequenced like a storybook or psychedelic trip , they start in the light take you down into the depths of darkness and then to make sure you dont leave the experience mentally fractured in ego death permanently they comfortably softly at the end all return you back up into the light and heaven to get from hell back to heaven again in a hour or two is a must have experience they nail perfectly and completely underground underrated lmk if you could break any of those down in video would love your perspective love the work keep it up! glad someone has such good taste as well ppl all think the new artist who trash are "revolutionary" like bruh go listen to Aja or some Floyd or alt j smh and a heavy dose Neo soul children juice wrld and lil yatchy and peep aren't "the most game changing geniuses ever "lmao they mid and good marketers and u all trynna fit in smh

I love Relapse's (eminem) album cover. You can't really tell at first but if you look deep enough you can see that it's an image of Eminem made out of pills, which is the theme of the album, relapsing to drugs. The cover immediately gave me the feeling that it was going to be very dark (due to the dark background). The main color of the Album is orange and somehow, every song FELT orange. Relapse Refill has a white background and the songs are actually more up-beat that the songs of relapse. Eminem now doesn't actually like the album when he looks but at it, but I think it's a work of art.

6:44 I remember when this video dropped, I was a freshman in highschool and I recently had my graduation last month and I remember hearing you say how you listened to graduation on the day of your graduation and I remember how cool I thought that was and couldn’t wait for the day I would to be able to do that and I did that exactly last month! The second I woke up the morning of my graduation I played the album and I still remember the feeling of hearing the opening track while I was showering, and just how that felt so surreal like it’s really happening! Hits different know when I relisten to the album, nostalgic feeling and it’s barely been a month since it happened, hoping to doing it again when I graduate college

I want straight up comedies to come back. I DEFINITELY want edgy offensive comedy to come back. That's what a LOT of people want, even if they don't admit it. Slapstick needs to know its place in a comedy though, dick jokes, toilet humour, drug jokes taking up half the comedy is lame and lazy, it made people get tired of Seth Rogen movies quick.

That is why I liked watching No Hard Feelings and Bottoms so much one year ago. Both were R-rated comedy films that were good at telling a wacky storyline with edgy offensive humor, but still had a nice story to tell with likable or relatable characters in them. They were also both led by female actors not typically known for edgy offensive comedy (of which that I know), Jennifer Lawrence, Rachel Sennott and Ayo Edebiri.
