Sorry Walter. But took Princess to Alaska 18 tears ago. Hated it Princess. And now with Tony from LA Vida Loca review today with fights in theater and Cruise Dorks yesterday I'm not going to pay an extra 90.00 a day as they hated the Princess buffet and MDR. But they went to free lower level dining spaces. OMalleYS ETC. But now they will all be jammed. Too much stress for alot of money. Also I don't drink alcohol. As Cruiselines pull benefits from Travelers and charge more people are getting angry as Tony said about fights in theater. Ill stick with rccl or Celebrity.
So far we've cruised Princess 5 times, going on 6 in October with the all new Sun Princess. Have never had a bad experience. My limit is 2 drinks per night, but we always get the Plus or Premier package because it covers so much more than just the alcohol. We've booked around 100 Princess cruises for our clients over the past 2 years and so far, just one minor complain about the HVAC in the stateroom. Food and Service have been praised all around by guests who continually rebook with Princess. We have found the MDR and Buffet experiences among the better ones out there. But food is subjective, what we enjoy others won't. The value of Princess with Plus and Premier far exceeds anything in the business outside of the all inclusive cruise lines. Drinks packages alone cost $60 - $125/pp per day across other cruise lines while Princess is offering $60-$90/pp per day for pretty much everything. Your drinks package on Princess ends up around $20/day once you factor in everything else. As for the reviews, Tony is awesome and from what I've been seeing from his cruise on the Caribbean Princess, he had an amazing time. Sure he witnessed some idiots in the theater, but Princess has over 20 ships and you're going to judge the entire cruise line by one idiot on that ship and some other vloggers who didn't like the food. Pick any cruise line, put their name in your KZread search and see how many "negative reviews" show up. Negativity sells on KZread and if you're making money as a vlogger, you have to push negative storylines and negative thumbnails. I love Tony because he's really balanced. He finds those stories that make you scratch your head while also taking you along on some amazing journeys. He's one of the few I follow anymore because most everyone else has gone down the rabbit hole of negativity sells. Only at the embarkation/debarkation terminal to get you on and off the ship. If you need one during the cruise, you must rent them from a third party.

Nice video. What lenses would you recommend to bring to a Norwegian fjords cruise? I'm shooting with the Sony a6400.
Probably something from 24 to 150mm (or more) something like that. Allowing you to zoom in from the ship but also show the grandeur of the Fjords.

Which one has better customer service? I have heard that Norwegian is terrible about responding to customer issues and basically ignores people.
We've had excellent service from both cruise lines. This is one advantage to working with a Travel Agent. We have a different service center to work with and we have direct representatives to call to get resolutions to issues.

Can't think of anything more depressing than being on a cruise ship by myself. Which is not the same as traveling alone.
Traveling solo on cruises is the fastest growing segment of cruises. It's a lot of fun and great way to make new friends. We have multiple clients who have met new 'cruise buddies' on the ships and now cruise all over the world together.

any soot or exhaust smell? I was on the aft of a royal boat and it was really noxious and soot covered everything. granted there was no overhang
Great question and we have experienced soot on other cruise lines. None with these balconies because they are well sheltered.

Good morning. We booked the Icon for next summer. We have a spacious interior room, but I have a question because I’m confused. I’ve seen videos that have one sofa in the spacious interior and another has just a chair. I’m hoping mine has the sofa. Why are there two different videos with one having a sofa and the other having a chair? Thanks Walter!
On Icon there are multiple Interior categories. Depending on which one you book, your configuration will be different. That's one of the advantages to working with a travel agent. We can look for the specific configuration you want. :)

I am fifty two. I have only been on one cruise in my life. And that was carnival about fifteen years ago. I am looking to start cruising again. The prices are so high now. I do not want to have to spend a fortune on specialty dining. I still see that carnival has the best prices, Are there any spots to go and get away from the noise if you want to? I figured I could cruise on carnival in the off season when there wasn't so many children. I think that princess would be a good fit, But I am very laid back and non stuffy. And price is very important. I hope the carnival can still be a good choice for us older folk
Carnival is a great cruise line, but for what you are describing in laid back, I would look at the smaller Carnival ships on longer itineraries or I would probably look at Princess and Celebrity. Can you get your marriage license in your local state before having ceremony on cruise boat?
The Marriage License must be from the same country where you are getting married. If it's at sea then it must come from where the ship is registered. The wedding dept on each cruise line can assist with this.

How does this ship compare with the Costa ships that are currently in the Carnival fleet??
I have not been on a Costa ship but this ship went through 5 1/2 months of renovation before coming back as the Islander. She's a lovely ship that is a lot of fun.
What about dairy free milk? I heard that wasn't available. I have a protein shake every morning. Rules say you can't bring drinks so I was going to bring the powder but that's not going to do be any good if there isn't dairy free milk.
Per reddit, the buffet doesn't have dairy-free milk but the coffee shop does. You could call and ask for a beverage exemption and they may let you bring it on.
Very helpful...with a lot of types of places compared...often we are all looking for different things at different times...great friesh fruit in Buffet or room service can really be special when cooking for one or two at hime and you just have very fresh and numerouse choices all the time..that can be as pleasant as 3.5 ofer 5 star extra price restaurants and want simple steaks vs a more complicated dish..lived all the areas and Disney is nice to know about and that that top one, Remy is really something. I had a home stay study in Franch for a spring semester and we had a caterer especially for the Baptism and Confirmation times in family's children's loves...a big thing in 1980..do not know now and..she was simply a chef...a fresh food chef...in Franch even a school cafeteria can have amazing lunches but we had to stop eating lunch...just have snacks at 4 ish and light bread and coffee in am and save it for the dinners,,,I know that I would never eat that freshly and dinely afain on the daily....She showed her "kids" true amazing home cooked by an expert with things that stay perfect over a few hrs..or stopping and cooking them of mny kany courses..her Easter dinner had 3 meat mains...an all these inbetween and side dishes and just,,,we were grateful.
