This channel is designed to help all pilots from enthusiasts to experienced pilots to achieve their very best performance in the simulator time and time again.
With the use of free videos, tutorials on malfunctions from inside the Boeing 737 simulator and step by step guidance to perform at your best for recurrent checks, assessments or interviews or just to maintain your skills to the highest standard.
Although this is filmed from the 737, many of the core principles can be used for all types.
For most pilots the simulator can be a nervous experience visited once every 6 months or your big chance at that dream job.
Being mentally prepared with confidence and knowledge is over half way to success, so let me join you on the journey and share with you the knowledge that I have gained from teaching hundreds and checking pilots of all abilities for over 25 years.

Exceptionally well tailored for training and your viewing strategy is unique and reinforces learning. Might you have a video on Engine severe damage during a go around Ana a video on in flight decision making following a failure? Much obliged Captain David.
Great video 😊
If relatively stable, the GS tells you where you are. VSI tells you where you're going to be. To my, the VSI is more important than the GS. Configure, power and pitch. Pitch Plus Power Equals Performance. Always, unless you're in a fighter or glider.
Hello Captain! Thank you so much for your videos. When are you making new videos?
Thank you.
I’m in training on the B738 NG and was wondering if you could do a few videos on 1. Loss of Hydraulic System A 2. Loss of Hydraulic System B 3. Manual Reversion (Loss of Both A and B) That would be great!!!! Thank You
Nicely explained ✈️👍
The Fact is that the Engine failure on final tale is discussed in the FCTM, and the FCTM isn’t a Legally certified book ( FAA only acknowledge it’s existence…) So whether in F30 or F15… if performance distance is ok ( think to AB MAX ) and stable and every thing is ok, continue, otherwise GA and complete your drills…
Thanks very much for this Video it is very detailed description of ILS approch, one of the best which I saw so far Would be nice to see VOR or NDB approach as well
SUPERB !!!
thanks for the very detailed and clear instruction, thanks a million!😀🙏🙏🙏
it worth a million
The 737 is an obsolete plane, it doesn’t has EICAS, it should have
Thank-you for your videos. Very professional ! Please keep on making more content !
Thank you so much, very useful😊
great morale booster ! 😊
Congrats Captain. Your channel is very useful and amazing!
Good job. Very good example of what mostly happens in sim as in real flight. Also a good reminder that manual flight skills have to be maintained during real flight and use of a simple PC simulator is useful for this pur pose.
Good jop
Thank you!!
Hi, Caption. Thank you and congratulations for you videos. On this one, you’ve mentioned 1 dot for LOC and GS. Shouldn’t be half dot for the LOC, please?
half deflection, not half dot. half deflection - one dot
Thx, For Your Explanation Captain
I feel there is only one correct decision unless stated otherwise. Cavok , long rwy, no traffic between you and the rwy land for bloody sake! General knowledge assumes you just add twenty knots, some thrust, flaps to 15 , A/B 3 and ground proximity inhibit. Just like you brief an engine failure before takeoff as captain during the crew briefing to landing just run through the scenario with yourself.
Fantastic content. Well done.
Really would not want to go around. Remember you have all the physics of flight on your side. Even with no engine, if you consider yourself a glider, you can still land. It's just a different dynamic.
Thank you
nice ...🙂
On the ground Evacuation who does the engine start lever on the affected side memory item ?
Thank you for the great initiative. Liked your explanation and it helped me in my sim. Much appretiated.
Thank you very much for the great initiative...indeed helpful ...
perfect
I fly E195 and E295. Even though the aim is B373, valuable information for most swept wing and jet engine powerd aircraft.
That is great to hear that you are able to use the videos for the Embraer. Thank you for your comments.
Reaching 60 end of my career but still like the improvement!🙋♂️🙋♂️
Excellent!
I am an older pilot having flown all Boeing fleet! David is an excellent instructor for these videos and very clear British English🥂
Thank you for your feedback. There are not many pilots that have experienced the complete set of Boeing aircraft. That certainly gives a very broad depth of understanding in the design philosophy and evolution over the years. 🙂
You are correct!!Having flown also the 747-200 I can tell you that especially very close to a clean maneuvering, you’d be very careful to keep it higher.. in any case you have the concept so clear in your mind that when you explain you can feel the deep understanding. I have just renew my 737 but too hold to fly 😂
Please make more SIM emergency videos. It will help pilots worldwide saving lives..
Good information! Any chance of a video depicting an engine failure on climb out above FL250 and the relevant actions and considerations? Thanks.
I have just come across your videos and would like to say they are amazing. Detailed and well explained as to why we do certain actions. Please keep on making more content :)
Thank you
Thank you!
Another great video!
Thank you David, your videos are great! I would love to see one about engine failure recognition and response. Thanks a lot.
Very great Capt. Thank you
Is a flock of birds justification for high speed rto?
Want more great videos
Great video's, thank-you!
So glad you are enjoying them. Work started on the next.
You are amazing 🤩 It will be wonderful if you can make video on FMC failure !!
Excellent information. Very instructive. Thank you for sharing!
My pleasure :-)
Soooo useful!!!
