I think I love the fact that they used all the primary paramedics in this scene too! Zadro, Pickman, Dumar, and Olbes. Fantastic writing all the way around!
"Dr. Greene; ya coming?" The mirroring of this final episode with the very first episode is utterly brilliant. Even in my life... I watched the very first episode with my parents, while my brothers slept... and watched the final episode with my wife, while my children slept.
Powerful. I did the same and real8sed the significance. Tears rolling down my face. It still sticks with me to this day. Probably the best and most significant ending to any drama series ever.
Never missed an episode, george clooney from roseanne and facts of life, hooked me in
Mark Greene was so present for me in that last scene that I could almost see him. Go get em, Rachel. All the feels.

Something that I think could've happened. When Rachael is starting to go in, she stops and sees Mark standing a few feet away with his arms crossed and wearing scrubs. He smiles at her and gives her nod, indicating that she's already making him proud. The others ask her if something's wrong. The same spot where Mark was standing is shown, only there's nothing there now. Rachael smiles and says No, everything's great and runs in to help.
Bring this show back with Rachel as head chief

This is still MY FAVORITE TV series. I was working in an ER when this show started. What an awesome series. A reunion movie is needed. In the beginning and in the end........Dr. Greene.......love it.

Brilliant swan song to series that's careful NOT to wrap everything in a tidy little bow. Carter has achieved his professional goal with the opening of his center but his personal life is still unresolved. Casting such a familiar and charismatic actor as Alexis Bledel as a NEW character and bringing back Rachel Green as a new Doctor - leaves audience with the feeling that life goes on in the ER. 12 years on WE ALL want to go back to County hospital.
So I wondered what happened after Carter said "Dr.Greene Greene are you coming?" to Rachel and she ran inside to follow them. I believe at that point she was a college graduate but not yet a medical student. So I guess she really couldn't do anything except stand there and watch.

When the first ER came out in 1994....I had a VHS vcr...and yeah, I started recording the seasons. By the end in 2009, I had a ReplayTV DVR, and I probably replayed this scene at least 50 times. Everytime ER is on, I have to watch for a little bit. Cool series and actors! Wicked cool writers/producers/directors!
