"racetrack"?
The East Coast Mainline is called the racetrack because it is largely straight and has traditionally had the fastest trains in the UK - Andy
Gracias Andy! The first 2 minutes looked like a boiling tea pot 🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂👏👏👏👏
So great BP is back. She had a horrible failure of her valve gear
It's been a long wait but well worth it - Andy
That’s a stunningly beautiful steam engine. I love that these old engines all have names! Gracias otra vez
Here's a video I recorded in 1998 of Blue Peter - the last time it was on the mainline - Andy kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZoSKyrtppL2_opM.html
Beautiful restoration. Since steam is gone in China, nice to see so many locomotives operation in your home country. When was 60532 built?
Built in 1948 at Doncaster Works. Works No. 2023.
Excellent footage there Andy and Tom. It's good to see BP back on the mainline.
Thanks, Andrew. We've been waiting a long time for it. There's a link in my video notes to a 1998 video of Blue Peter if you're interested - Andy
@@AndyDandanFisherSteam Definitely Andy. First time that I have filmed her and it won't be last. Superb Loco.

Excellent Video! Loved the finale. Nothing quite like a Castle tearing through the countryside. You got yourself a sub, I look foward to seeing more of your videos 😁😁
Thank you for that. Take a look at my Playlists. I have over 1000 videos already online - Andy
Superb set of videos ,a ultimate Castle in full flight takes some beating , i used to go spotting north of Moorthorpe a place we called slippery bridge as it had a aquaduct of sorts on it ,that climb from Moorthorpe to Ponty makes all engines work hard .
Thank you for your compliment. The bridge you're referring to is about 300 yards further north than the one I used - Andy
A technological and heritage treasure for rail historians and enthusiasts alike !
A glimpse back into history! - Andy
Excellent footage there Andy and Tom. I was also there to film the run but at different locations mainly on the Settle and Carlisle proper
I'll take a look. Hellifield offers more chances because of the water stop - Andy

Great video. How did you get to the top of the multi-storey? I’ve heard the security can be tight up there. Many thanks!
I always speak to the security staff first to explain what I'm doing - Andy
Chia sẽ hây lắm bạn ơi ❤❤🎉🎉
I'm pleased you enjoyed the video - Andy
Splendid. Such a pleasure to see it again. Many thanks!
I'm pleased you enjoyed the video - Andy
@@AndyDandanFisherSteam Sure did! Thanks.
It's wonderful to see how many steam locomotives are still operating in Great Britain and on main lines at track speed, it appears.
We're incredibly lucky that so many steam locos were saved and are kept working - Andy
@@AndyDandanFisherSteam We have a good number in the USA but most are restricted to how they can operate.
@@1940limited We owe our regular mainline use to the system of rail operation in the UK. The network is state owned and any private company (with the required safety standards) can pay to operate a train on the system. Sadly, our new government intends to nationalise the whole rail system. This could lead to far fewer steam workings - but I hope not! - Andy
@@AndyDandanFisherSteam Many of the Class 1s in the USA don't want excursions with vintage equipment running on their tracks. There's the risk of a breakdown snarling up the line and insurance considerations. I hope they don't nationalize your railroads. I'm sure the private owners do a much better job of running things than government will do.

Gracias for yet another adventure with this beautiful engine and the gorgeous English countryside!🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂👏👏👏👏👏👏
I'm pleased you enjoyed the video Tomas. You should visit the UK some day! - Andy
Excellent footage there Andy and Dandan off Tangmere in action? I hope it does the run to Scarborough on the 1st August?

How’s progress going for 72010 Hengist and 61673 Spirit of Sandringham?
Progress is very slow I'm afraid. This is because of a shortage of money rather than a shortage of will. They need donations! - Andy
@@AndyDandanFisherSteam , will they still be the evolved members of their class similar to 60163 Tornado and 6880 Betton Grange?
@@Shark30006 Some changes are being made to the original design to meet with modern needs, but only minimal changes - Andy
@@AndyDandanFisherSteam , will it take years for the two locomotives to be finished?
@@Shark30006 Yes. I would think many years. Money is the problem - Andy

I Recognize that locomotive on the first part it's tki3-87 she is in the wolsztyn depot for restoration and she will go back in service the same time as o149-69
We have two BR Standard tank engines Nos. 82045 and 84030 under construction at the Severn Valley Railway and the Bluebell Railway
