    I have a 2019 marlin and picked up a roscoe 9 this year. The marlin handles anything I can throw at it. My opinion is if you are riding only dirt trails and it's in the budget go wirh the roscoe. If you are riding more paved trails the cheaper marlin is fine. Down side to the marlin is its straight steer tube. Severely limits upgrade options of the front fork later.

    Braking system doesn't matter. I have an SLX 4 piston brakeset. Do you think it will fit without any issues? I'm thinking of changing the rear wheel to Hope Fortus 30 & Maxxis 2.35 with 2.4 up front. I'm trying out rocky, dry DH on my upgraded Marlin 7 here in Bahrain. Do you think the 930 would be a good replacement for 4 days a week XC & weekend DH?

  • @mr.d7429
    @mr.d74292 жыл бұрын

    @Cold Winter I’m not sure an SLX 4 piston would fit. If anything I would try the XT 2 piston that is of a smaller profile and super strong! I’m really not sure a longer 4 piston caliper would fit, maybe that would be something you would try and let us know! DH is one thing I would not try on that scale frame, the rear triangle will fit a 2.4 tire just like I have in this video, a trail tire will be very difficult to fit there and not rub. • @mr.d7429
    @mr.d74292 жыл бұрын

    @Justin Lam thank you for watching! I know for sure the tension rods are the screws you would tighten or release to get the tune you want or to be able to take hoops out when replacing drum heads. The actual lugs are the black plastic part I’m thinking you refer to, those are the removable part, it can be accessed by the inner side of the shells after batter and resonant heads are taken off. With a screw driver you might be able to release the screws that hold the lugs in place. I never came across a Yamaha nouveau before but looked at pics of this kit online to have an idea of how it’s hardware works! It’s also a really cool drum kit!

    @Eric Ortega thank you for watching! It all depends on what you are looking for on a hardtail bike. Do you like that old school solid feeling of a good old hardtail like Scott Scale or would you like to try out the new technology of a hardtail frame that works almost like a full suspension, but not quite? As you may know, Trek and Orbea offer that kind of tech on their hardtail lines. They are much pricier compared with Scott Scale, for that money you could get your self a scale 910 or a nicer 900 rc. damn what a nice looking MTB. I'm actually thinking of buying a 940 one has a hard time deciding which color to take.

    @King’s Trail thank you so much! I was actually going to buy the dark grey one, but that was gone. And this was the last one, not only in the store but whole California at the time! It turns out this color is much cooler then the camera can show! Happy trails!

    @@mr.d7429 my local bike shop has it in dark gray but I found a red one like yours at a bike shop 30km from where I live. maybe should go there and see what it looks like irl.

    @@lifeisastruggle5517 yep, check them out first since all the components are exactly the same! It turns out that the red one matched all my gloves, shorts and tshirts! 😅

    Hi there, does a 2.4" wide tires fits perfectly? unlike the more burlier 2.6"?.. Tnx..

    Hi, thank you for watching. The 2.4 in my opinion looks and works better! The 2.6 feels like you’re driving a monster truck, in my humble opinion! Cheers!
