@b-radgarage I was watching it. My big concern is trying to open it lol I'm gonna rip one off tomorrow and see if I can figure out what to do after that is it a cable running to the handle on the outside?

dang - that's tough - I didn't understand that you were basically locked out. Sorry to hear that. I have never had to deal with one that I couldn't get in the truck - I do know there is a metal rod behind the outer door frame but i think it also is connected to the inner handle somehow? So I'm not sure how that works from the outside in. Sorry I can't be of more help - I really hope you are able to get in the truck and get the handles replaced - I hope it goes as smooth as possible.

Start with locating the number one spark plug Remove the wire and use 5/8 socket to remove plug, plug the cylinder with a piece of toilet paper Rotate the crankshaft by taping on the key to till you hear the paper plug pop. That means that is on compression stroke and use the dip stick to measure the cylinder to top dead center. Then remove the cap of distributor and look to see if the rotor is pointing to the number one spark plug wire. If not release release the hoe down bolt 1/2 size. And remove the whole distributor up to set and point number one spark plugs wire. That's it

My grandpa was an old school guy. He took a free spin bike sprocket and trimmed down the teeth where the body of the sprocket fit into a large socket and welded it. Then he drilled a perfectly centered hole down into the female end of a 6 inch 1/2 extention. Then ground down the correct side of the threaded stud for it to spin the right direction to fit tight in the hole in the extention. Then welded it up by filling around it. He took all the pull string spools out of everything and used a hole saw to drill an access hole in the engine covers to get to the flywheel bolts on eveything. So he didn't have to worry about it spinning the drill or pulling it off real quick. It would free spin after starting and he could easily pull it off once it fired up. He could also put any socket on it he needed. I loved learning from old folks. His tool box and garage where full of tools he made or modified. No nut, bolt, washer or piece of metal was thrown out. If something quit working he salvaged eveything from it. He'd bring home trash grabs all the time and fix them or salvage any brackets, wire, small electric motors, rubber feet ect. He had coffee cans fill of stuff. If you needed it he had it or had what he needed to make it. His garage was a clutter that he knew exactly where eveything was. The tips tricks and resourcefulness was unmatched!
