I was thinking about upgrading my D series for the time being, and I guess it’s a fortunate thing I spun a bearing because that means I have a reason to freshen up the bottom end and learn how to actually assemble this stuff

Thank you for this video, I think I just found my problem since I brought this shifter second hand. Couldn't get this shifter to move properly as it should and noticed it's missing those little spacers that go inside the pivot point of the shifter. Soon as I find those I will be back here to clarify! It barely reaches 1st 2nd 5th and reverse.

You should soak your exhaust manifold in a solution of white vinegar and then sand it down after a few days of that and spray it like graphite. Would bring everything out more !, nice vid tho.

Can you help: I had flat tire today (pothole), front right side. I drove 4x 215/50/17. I had only r16 spare, so I ask for service help - they put same tire from back right to front right, and put a spare 225/50/17 on back right. Will it affect my ride in any aspect (control, balance).. I drove to home pretty slower, because I was afraid of some sort of disbalance and stuff like that.. do I have to worry, and should I purchase same 215/50/17 as soon as possible? Thanks

I'm curious, why do you run a D16Y8 instead of a D16Z6? Yearsback i built and raced a Del sol in a class that required being street legal. We uograded the engine to handle a small turbo, making about 350whp and it was a daily driver.

Note to people watching... DON'T TRY TO USE A NORMAL SCREWDRIVER FOR THE ROTOR SCREWS! Screw on 2 lug nuts on opposing sides hand tight in order to relieve stress from the rotor, then use a JIS screwdriver to remove the screw. You can use a Phillips that fits well if you have to, but hand tighten the lugs back on the rotor to prevent the screws from resisting being loosened and stripping. The screws aren't needed, they just help keep the rotor perfectly level when replacing them.

great video for us home gamers, I was trying to remove the tie rod on a 1 ton E350 van, it was futile. Neighbor is a mechanic, he rolled his O/A torch set out and got it cherry red, literally, and it came off like it was buttered. Thats what the pro's do, they don't mess about trying brute force. He said it can't seize if its liquid.

Your limit is almost always traction between the tire and the road. Stock brakes are more than adequate for street driving. You saw an improvement because you cheesed it. The Internet experts are going to cry about this, but you actually downgraded your brakes when you installed drilled rotors.
