I think this is brilliant. It’s a great insight into the heart and mind of this composer.

I watch Christian Li and i could not comprehend why his shoulder was higher than his forearm. But now the mechanics of the bow arm per your demo make sense. In contrast i believed mistakenly that the floating sensation of the bow arm was persistent throughout and that one pronates and supinates only. Then i lost the shock absorber action of the fingers. I knew it was wrong but reached a dead end. Thank you.

The bow is like a wind intrument how it moves on the string and by holding the bow it should almost feels like it slipping out of your hands that's how gently

Unbelievable that this kind of mediocre violinplaying a member is of the Philly orch. Very much out of tune and ugly rather harsh sound. I'm sorry to say this!

Well, I am not surprised, as you are a professional but cannot play, your shifts are incompetent. So, my guess was right, no perfect pitch, playing is out of tune and you dare to teach people, oblivious to the fact that you cannot play. Obvioosly no tolerance for constructive criticism. it is a shame to show such a scale, just a shame even for a 9y old future porfessional, let alone for someone who calls himself professional. OK. I will go rinse my ears now and never visit your channel again. Sorry for the unwelcome true feedback. what a disgrace! Your learners should know that their teacher cannot play a slow 3 octave scale.

This is excellently explained, and you have the same bow grip as my teacher teaches!

Loved this! I too am a scale aficionado. I happen to like the scale system of Elisabeta Gilels very much. I look forward to seeing more instructional videos from you. How about a video on bowing mechanics with smooth changes at the frog? Would like to hear your thoughts on pronation and supination of the right hand. Thank you! 🙏🏻🎻

you have good technical expertise but i m sorry to say the sound is horrible.I dont know maybe you need a different instrument.

Thank you your comment. This is not my instrument. This is a violin from the Gatchell collection that I was using. I’m sorry that you find this violin to be lacking a good sound.

I thought the sound was very good - the violin is particularly clear, with a slight edginess to the tone, some people don't like that but I do, and it suits this excerpt. What instrument is it, by the way?
@richardamoroso_violin26 күн бұрын
@@nickyork8901 I agree Nicky! This violin was made by Pedrazzini. It's one of two Pedrazzinis from the Gatchell Collection. This violin is super clear and crazy fast/responsive! That's why I used it for this excerpt. Thanks for your comment! - Richard 🎻
