  @46:14 how depreciation is calculated at closing WDV... As far as I know, depreciation is calculated on FIFO basis... Sale of assets is to be reduced from opening WDV and then if any amount remaining in Opening WDV , then dep is calculated at full rate For addition during the year, depreciation is calculated on the basis of no of days it has been put to use I.e. half or full rate

  @@merohangarg Clarifying via example Dep rate @ 10% Op WDV :- 100 Acquired > 180 days :- 15 Acquired < 180 days :- 25 Sale :- (30) Closing WDV:- 100+ [15 + 25] - 30 = 110 Cal of IT Dep is as under:- On Op WDV = [100-30(Sale)]*10% = 7 On acquired asset = (15*10%)+(25*5%) = 2.75 Total dep = 7 + 2.75 = 9.75 but as per your logic it is 110*10% = 11

  Here specially to thank you for spom(scmp), I appeared for only first group in nov23 and I never took coaching for scmp, never thought spom for scmp could be this easy and I could pass the exam in one go, thanks again for your efforts and for that one line " Apne ko toh 50 laane h scmp p spom m, koi maharat hasil nhi krni, exact 50 hi aaye h😂 thanks.

  Sec 30 allows only those rent and repairs which is as per agreement between the owner and tenant. Excess rent and repairs incurred is not allowed in sec. 30. It's allowed in sec 37. Also if building is not put to use than such rent or repairs is not allowed u/s 30. It's allowed in sec. 37. Also it's important to define what's revenue expenses.
