They always had great hard hitting matches together. Shame the the commentary was mostly about Larry Zbysko and Eric Bischoff, because their match was not very good

Finlay wasn't "Fit" yet!! 💪 Regal wasn't either because he had a trainer to do his workouts for him! 😏

Two fellas that could eat half of the roster for breakfast. Legit carnival wrestlers trained to be very deadly hookers/shooters. I miss when wrestling looked like a fight instead of a goofy stunt show...

One of the things that made WCW great was that they put allot of stock into the mid card & some of the most entertaining feuds/angles revolved around the U.S & TV Titles.

Intense physicality & in-ring psychology put on display whenever these 2 wrestled. The Saturday Night program tended to feature the better technical wrestlers.

Probably was. It is good when they wrestle because it feels like they are able to put on a WoS match and make it work in the US. And that only works when you have British wrestlers doing it, I remember Randy Orton tried to do with with Regal in London and it just didn't work.

@thesmithersy of of course it's hammed up. It's pro wrestling!! It's all good fun both regal and dave Finley where absolute beasts of wrestling in there prime I can see why this match gets the respect it deserves in retrospect.

He was previously called the Belfast bruiser which was probably referring to the fact that his birth place is Northern Ireland. So its entirely possible Fit himself had no issues with the English in that regard. However it makes for a better match if you can push the fraught history between the two nations.
