Cool conversion but in all the books i have read the gender of most of the high augmented tech priest is a mystery so the original could be male or female or unknown. Like i said cool conversion though
@moniterlizard07 Yeah, I know :) I thought maybe this one could still be in the process of having their unnecessary organs removed :)
These vids were really helpful when I painted my set.
@attiladukai2121 glad to hear it!
Hint for anyone starting out with oil washes: Ivory black isn't the only black pigment oil paint out there, and it has a brownish tone when heavily thinned. If you want a truer black for panel lining or whatever, look for carbon black or lamp black oil paints.
Hey was an old student of yours and loved going to your class. Glad to see youre still passionate about nerdy stuff like me. I hope youre doing well
Hey, thanks! And I remember you :)
A hair dryer on the coolest setting is handy to quickly get the oils touch dry for removal. I'd do that when I don't want to wait the 15-30 minutes for them to do it naturally.
Interesting. What about the staining effect? I imagine the intensity of the stain would be less?
Well well, I'm viewer nr 5. As a tip for people that want to play around with washes - try to get some small jars or bottles a d a funnel. I have five small 50ml bottles on my shelf, I bought specifically for their shape, and also for whisky inside them. I made premixed washes, each for different color, its a waste of time to mix new wash every timeI. f I need some more I use pippette or even brush to pull some into a cup and and add odorless thinner. I also recommend stainless steel littlee measuring kitchen cup for mixing. Quick wipe with paper towell cleans it perfectly. I also have separat jar that I use as a dump for all kind of oil washes, it's just super dark brown now. Small 50 ml glass bottles from whisky are the best, you can get drunk and then spill brownoil wash everywhere because you forgot its unscrewd
Yeah, you definitely want a "dump" bottle for all your waste.
the links no longer work can you help me out?

Wow, you're digging deep into the archives :D
Been using this technique on my Knights and Admech for a couple years and they always get noticed. Awesome guide!
Awesome! I'm glad to hear it :) I ALSO use it on AdMech and Knights!
What happened to Mike?
I now paint on Watch It Paint it :) I teamed up with a bigger channel a couple years ago.
Imagine what the 1989 game makers would think of this, how far artistry has come!
How do you fix the miniature into the glass?
I use poster putty (white tack/blue tack) or your can use 2-sided tape.
Fantastic tutorial, thank you
Looks like i'll be doing these bases for my recent order of minis from Otherworld! :D thank you!
Respect for correct pronunciation of Bartosz's surname. 😂
Very helpful. Looks great Cheers
Very, very nice
You're digging deep into the archives :)
So is there a different you say 2mmx3mm but box is marked for 3mmx2mm will they both work?
As long as it's 3mm wide, 2mm thick (or deep)
Very detailed and useful. I will be sponging this and applying the teaching later.
Glad it was useful!
You have very good hand-eye coordination. Man do I love this unit, i love the idea of cybernetic animals.
The secret is a good magnifying glass :D
You, Sir, Are a Hero
haha :) thank you
More like Maxitures :)
Wow, you're digging deep into the archives with this video :D
Maybe a dumb question, but how do you attach the model now? Simple super glue or does this require drilling and pinning?
Super glue should work fine if the model has a big attachment point. If find that's fine for most models. If the model has a small attachment point, then pin. I normally would press the feet of the model into the green stuff before it hardens to make sure the feet will sit properly.
Dude, why would there be a glow under the eye ? if the eyes glows, the light will hit more strongly the surface that is the most oriented toward the eye , in our case the "brow" above the eye , or rather the edgeof the brow
You're right, however most people paint the glow under the eye - this is because if you're playing 40k, you're typically looking down at the model, and you won't see under the brow. Most people don't bother painting under the model, unless it's for competition where judges will inspect underneath to see how thorough you were :)
Do you still use this recipe? I have all the stuff you shown and it keeps turning out watery and leave bad stain spots when it dries.
I would only use it on terrain - not models. But to answer your question, I almost never use washes anymore, and if I do they're usually watered down contrast paints. I tend to go with a zenithal prime these days for terrain, then I sponge on grime afterwards.
2023. this is perfect, i have the tamiya weather master D , was gonna touch up some thrusters. tnx for the vid. just wanted to see the sequence of colors.
Glad it helped!

For stone i use folk art 'wrought iron' as first layer. It's a dark green blackish color.
Nailed it. Convinced me to buy some Agrellan Earth
Love your paint choices. The base particularly is a perfect match for an alien Martian landscape like the one on the game board. Thanks for inspiring me to paint my own models.
I’m adding her to my army as soon as possible! Great idea!
