I'm going through a very intense phase in my life and keep waking up with pinched nerves on my shoulders and back. I found this simple yoga stretch and god I love it. Gentle, yet effective. Great job! Such a wonderful vibe too:) peace & love girl!

Thanks so much for this Nico, AVAA! 🙏🏾 Could you (or any other lovely people reading this) recommend ways to get comfortable in downward dog? What needs to be strengthened? I’ve been doing yoga for 20+ years and it’s always been a point of friction for me 🤦🏽♀️
Hi! I did struggle with downward dog too, but here's what I found helpful: I start in a table top position, making sure my hands are firm (as if I were trying to push the mat away from me, but not to the point where it hurts) and that they are under my shoulders - basically, I make sure to start right with a perfect table top position 😊 Then, I move into a bear plank (basically a table top, but with the knees slightly elevated). Then, I push the pelvis slightly towards the back and move from a bear plank to a downward dog! Mind you, it's important that you don't crouch/slug your shoulders up to your ears (yes, even in downward dog) - what helps me preventing that is making sure the eyes of the elbows are facing each other. Hope it helped! 💛

Have you explored the possibility it’s a lack of shoulder mobility? For years that, not a lack of strength, held me back from a good downward dog

This was very nice . I live with a raging narc mother so I HAVE to do yoga before I leave the room everyday. If you ever felt moved to introduce some emotionally based / power chakra based routines that are a bit on the beginner side I would really appreciate it. Keep it up boo❤
I love this. I do think a longer video with it as a repeated routine would work great as a morning digital detox or a nighttime digital detox.
