We went the end of March. We got VERY lucky and have minimal rain. It’s pretty difficult to dodge the rain, just have to embrace it and bring wet weather gear. Best of luck!!

such an amazing video! showed such helpful bits that show how realistically beautiful each place is without the super artsy stuff! thank you so much honestly - taking off for my 5 week trip next month yayyyy. Are the icy roads difficult to drive on? And if you had to chose between spending 2 nights in Isle of Skye or Edinburgh which one would you recommend? Oh and do you happen to remember where you found those Harry Potter wands haha? Thank you so much again!

Hey hey! So glad you like the vid - such great memories for us!! The icy roads weren’t too bad in the van we were in, what kind of vehicle are you driving around in? Oh my gosh, SO hard to choose!! We LOVED both so much. I would probably check the weather first, when we went to Isle of Skye it was really cold and rainy so we didnt get to do as many hikes and sights as we had hoped. Edinburgh is amazing!!! I would 100% go back. So yeah, maybe gage it on the weather? Wands were in Harry Potter Museum in Edinburgh, a must visit!! All the best with your trip - you’re going to have an absolute blast!!!

Hey Hey! The road we rode around is called Av. Exequiel Bustillo and we found a little trail off that road. There are a few different lakes in the shot, mainly Lago Perito Moreno & Lago Nahuel Huapi. Hope this helps!

Hi, great video! I'm planning on doing a 8 day roadtrip in schotland. I'm concened with the fact that I'll be towing a caravan behind my car, instead of going around with a van. Are the roads ok in schotland? I'm especially scared of single-track roads! Thanks!

Or finding places to sleep, the van was a good idea but I don’t know how to drive on the opposite side of the road, can I take a driving test? What’s the weather like in December-January? Thank you!

Vee Vee: December-January? Depends where you are going. Not so cold in the south of England as it might be in the north of Scotland but in any event bring warm clothing a decent footwear. It will take you much longer to have lessons and then sit a driving test than the month you intend to stay and so bite the bullet.

I think with the driving test you should just wing it. Maybe check out some videos on KZread about driving on the other side. Its pretty easy once you get your head around it.

Hi! Sorry for SUCH a late response! We did self-guided. It is very easy to navigate with the maps. And there are so many other people doing the trek you can also ask if your unsure. Just keep in mind you'll have to organise your bus transport to the trek (along with heaps of other people). Our hostel pointed us in the right direction. Also we had most of our own gear but all the hotels have all the equipment you could need available for hire.
