Dead Space universe is comparable to the Alien franchise - definitely one of the best and well written space horrors that has ever been released. I wish somebody makes a TV series or a movie (even a trilogy, maybe?) based on this story. Altman be praised, fellow fans.

I love the story, it's awesome on its own, and fits perfectly in the video game story. But I would have prefered a different art style, and moreover I find the drawing to be really bad sometimes. It's a shame because it lessens the immersion.

Dang this really was a terrifying story. Everyone on that colony was doomed the moment the marker was discovered. All efforts to control the madness we're tried and failed horribly. There was literally nothing that could have been done to prevent these chain of events.

3:21 hits harder after playing Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake. Basically Fox's way of apologizing to Snake for trying to kill him and for what happened to Gustava by allowing himself to be killed by another weapon similar to the one he used to attempt to kill his friend and killed lover with.

He did not “let” himself get killed by rex, if that was the case he wouldn’t be dodging all those bullets for dear life. He legitimately got beat because he made a dumb decision to run against rex. His wish was for snake to kill him just like in zanzibar

I like Gray Fox scenes in Twin Snakes better because his powers are shown perfectly and at least he goes down with a fight against Liquid. Also like this scene alot too 03:19-04:15 especially the music during battle.

I really love this. I never thought that motion comics could have this level of intensity and tense atmosphere. Great great job. And the characters are all believeable, their behaviour, their choices. Only think I dont like, and its a trope in horror movies by this time, is that every single effing time somebody knows whats going on or knows the solution to the problem is told off when he/she tries to tell others. Its always not now, there will be time for that, this is serious theres no time for your nonsense etc. If somebody for once just listened. Not that it would change their fates in this particular event but still. Just STFU and listen.

I know this scene and twin snakes as a whole gets a lot of shit, but Snake touching wolf’s face here (wiping her tears…?) always gets to me. I remember the first time I saw this scene in MGS1, wishing that I could take her hand or something. She talked so much of loneliness and of the cruelty and indifference of people. I just wanted to be kind. And so when Snake reached out and touched her in this version, it brought tears to my eyes.

Rob Paulsen is such a phenomenal voice actor with incredible range. Though he's had countless roles, you might hear the same like maybe Carl wheezer and PJ from goofy movie. There is a certain additional voice that he wasn't credited for in a certain other movie that took me so long to realize it was him, and his gray fox voice comes pretty close yet its STILL vastly different. Top tier voice actor.

Most of it yes. Then there is an overlap of extraction and downfall. Both extraction and downfall show the marker being found, but they jump about in their time frames. This is a much more cohesive look at what happened from the moment they found the marker till just before the events of the first game. This video takes place over a period of a month after they found the marker. Downfall jumps from the moment they find the marker, to the week the ishimura arrives at eagis seven. Extraction jumps from the time they find, to the final day(s) before Issac gets there.
