  Dorian won this fair and square! He deserved this win! I hear all the people talking about flex, no question flex wheeler is an absolute legend and superstar of the sport. But flex just didn’t have the width here, when they turn to side chest you really get to see the difference between flex and dorian. Dorian was just thicker and bigger! But if you like pure aesthetics Then I can see some people who Like flex better. But it’s a bodybuilding competition and it was about who was biggest, most shredded, most pealed, most symmetry, thickest, best seperation… not saying dorian blew away flex but he dorian had a comfortable lead. I wasn’t at the show but the people I do know who was there said in person there was no competition for dorian, everyone there said as soon as he stepped on stage it was like looking at a piece of granite rock. Those cameras back then did not pick up near the detail as todays cameras

  By all accounts, Mr. Dickerson was an affable, polite individual and his posing excellent. That said, he should have been in the top 5 and not the 1982 Mr. Olympia winner!

  Chris Dickerson, was winning endless Grand Prix’s at that time. He was the Weiders golden boy at the time also if you know what I mean!! He had a good overall physique with exceptional calves! However his arms were tiny..

  Ron look like a baloon in comparison to Kevin. A belly bubble gut bonanza with lot of mass but no symetry, no esthetics, no proportions. Kevin beats him in every way yet this is bs Olympia.   Samir was Zane with a thicker back and pecs. A near perfect physique. I had him winning in 82 and 83, but had Dickerson winning in 80 and 81.

  I felt at the time and still feel the same - Dexter deserved no worse than 2nd - and would have had no issue with him winning. I would have had him winning. That’s not a knock in Jay he looked great and certainly wasn’t undeserving - but Dexter being the defending champ - and coming in at least as good as last year - was pretty disrespected in 3rd. Jay is bigger, has bigger legs - but Dexter’s shape and symmetry here just draws my eye for all the right reasons. I was ok with Jay or Dex winning - I was not ok with Branch being ahead of Dex at all
