Love, Porter and Stout. Sam Adams Honey Porter (sadly discontinued) turned me on to craft beer. Deschutes Black Butte Porter is delicious as well. Best Porter I've had was Fullers London Porter on draft at a pub called the Royal Peasant in Athens, Georgia USA. Must have been a fresh keg because it was sublime.

I bought 4 cans of this Chocolate & Coconut 🥥 Mild & it’s not really my kind of drink love IPA’s & Stouts etc but this drink really surprised me a lot it’s got lively bursting coconut flavoures & very easy drinking. Four Roses is my favorite sipping brand. I prefer the single barrel with the higher rye mash bill. The small batch and select are also very good, but as blend of several mash bills, it's very smooth and more consistent. I never really reach for Rare Breed, but not a bad pour at all. I enjoy your channel.

The 90 proof FR small batch is a lovely pour, the price is good too at £30-ish and it's a great alternative to Eagle Rare, certainly not as good as ER but a great alternative nonetheless. I'm going to try the 100 proof FR single barrel next as most reviewers agree that it is a step up from the small batch in terms of flavour and obviously proof point. The WTRB is a lovely sipping bourbon, there's so much depth and character that it needs to be sat with and dissected over time, definitely not a daily sipper, lol but a great weekend pour to share with friends just for the experience. Thanks for the video Tom, keep it up buddy as I really enjoy your bourbon reviews mate 😊

Buffalo Trace is probably the smoothest of the more balanced profiles, then Maker's Mark for something balanced but a bit bolder throughout. It is slightly different to many as it has wheat in the mash-bill rather than rye which is more standard.

Hello again! I haven't bothered you since May or June perhaps. I'm the Canadian guy who likes Warka (the Polish "park bench/paper sack" beer that we joked about). I got on to your videos back when I was getting home from work Thursday nights, and I'd brought home a few things to drink. Haven't seen a video from you for a while, and the catchy song brought back the memory (your Missus vocalized it well. Remember? It was your trivia question. De-dooby-dooby-dooby-doo...) Anyhow (you did ask) ... Tegernseer. I would pronounce that auf Deutsch ("in German") as "TAYgern-tzeer". There is Tegernsee, a town on a lake, and a "see" is generally a lake, like our Anglo-Saxon "sea". I assume a Tegernseer is a "local lad", a denizen of Tegernsee, something like that. Do any German speakers in the comments agree? Correct me if I'm wrong. I do remember their Helles (pronounced Hell-ess?) and I liked it. I'm keen to try the others, if I can find them. Thanks again, I enjoy your videos, especially when I'm trying new brews and watching late at night. Give shitty old Warka a try, if you can find it. I enjoy it. Amber, heavy, sweet, 6.3%, keeps the gun out of the mouth... 🙂 (Sorry, that last bit was horrible. Not serious.) Cheers!

The strong style of helles, sometimes called export, spezial, or edel is a Bavarian take of the Dortmunder export style of beer, in the same way that German pils is a take on the Czech Pilsner style. Dortmunder beers used to be most popular style of beer in Germany until pilsners took over in the 70s. Great review. I love this beer, I like this equally as much as the Helles.

The fun part of blind tasting is being surprised at the reveal. The results should compel one to reevaluate their experience when drinking the favored product and take a hard look at our bias for and against the products tested. OK, that was a lot of what sounded like lawyer speak. And, the results of the video test were simply the results of THIS video test. A re-test of the same bourbons in six months would likely result in new favorites. I'm not surprised by the choice of MM! I like MM - it's familiar, comfortable, and doesn't demand anything from you. It's easy, so when compared to multiple other whiskeys that are punchier or more distinct, it holds its own. IMHO. Good video as usual, Tom, and some good comments by other viewers.

I have had the pleasure of traveling all over America in a van, sampling IPAs all along the way. Bend Oregon is perhaps the highlight. A small ish town on the deschutes river up in the high desert, east of Portland, surrounded by the most pristine alpine wilderness, snow capped mountains and forests. The town has incredible breweries all over. Perhaps more breweries per capita than any other town in America (don't quote me on that), or so it feels. The IPAs created in that small town are incredible. I prefer the West Coast IPAs that are citrus/tropical forward with low bitterness. Its almost a blend between the New England and West Coast styles but they tend to call them West Coast IPAs. There are fantastic versions all over town. Paradise!

Ordered mine a couple of days ago and it was delivered today. It comes in a lovely box and is in the same bottle style that their single barrel select and their single barrel, barrel proof comes in. I grabbed it as it's cheaper than the JD single barrel select at 90 proof and for the extra proof (and hopefully the taste) it was a 'no-brainer' really.
