MassHistorical

Massachusetts Historical Society is the first historical society in America. Founded in 1791 to "collect, preserve, and disseminate materials for the study of American history, " the MHS is celebrating 225 years of collecting, protecting, and sharing American history, life, and culture.

The MHS collections are particularly well-known for extensive holdings of personal papers from three presidents: John Adams, John Quincy Adams, and Thomas Jefferson. The collections contain many famous documents including Paul Revere's own account of his famous ride and Abigail Adams’s famous "Remember the Ladies” letter to John Adams, where she advocates for the rights of women to be included in the founding of the United States. In addition, the MHS holds several imprints of the Declaration of Independence, and Thomas Jefferson's architectural drawings, among many other treasures.

SHAME ON THIS VIDEO for not giving the proper credit to Gustave Whitehead who flew before the WRONG BROTHERS, and Whitehead flew in 1901 with over TEN EYEWITNESSES WHO SIGNED AFFIDAVITS THAT THEY SAW WHITEHEAD FLY IN BRIDGEPORT CONNECTICUT IN 1901. He may have even flown earlier in 1899.!!!

Where is the credit to Gustave Whitehead who flew in 1901 in Bridgeport Connecticut to multiple eyewitnesses who signed affidavits? Another inconvenient truth? The replicas flew in Connecticut and in Europe near the museum to Whiteheads honor. There are photos of Whitehead in the air in his plane, Jane's Aviation credits Whitehead with his achievements, I even spoke to the Whitehead family who still live in Connecticut, and the Park Rangers at Kitty Hawk when I spoke to them privately told me they knew Whitehead flew before the Wright Brothers in a controlled, flight and Whitehead may have even flown as early as 1899.

Even this joker tries to diminish the bible and the power of the word of God. Fred Rogers was a Christian minister who taught what he learned in seminary and in life. The bible heavily influenced Rogers. These numbskulls always try to remove Jesus and God from human actions when they want to exemplify humans. When they want to blame God they remove human failings. Sorry. Fred Rogers was teaching Christianity and the lessons that Christ taught. Deal with it.

Also, I was able to finally find the lovely tune that is used with the opening credits; "Sheep May Safely Graze", J.S. Back BWV 208. Also, an update on the Restoration; the Ludowici Tile Company of New Lexington, OH, has completed the replacement and repair of the roof and with the type of terra cotta multicolored curved tiles that were first installed by that same company in 1909 (they lasted to about 1950 when slate was then put in). The Ibis finial was restored and raised 9' off the roof as it was initially before various thefts by the Harvard Crimson damaged it enough to only be a few feet off the base of the helmed tower basket. The masons also repointed all the failing mortar and repaired all the exterior bricks needing help so as to mitigate further water damage. The whole effect is that the Castle looks like it predates the oldest buildings of the College (Massachusetts Hall 1720) by a whole 100-150 years! As if the Castle was minding its own business along divergent dirt paths (Mount Auburn Street and Bow Street) in a bucolic meadow when all of a sudden, the Massachusetts Bay Colony gang up and erects all these new buildings causing noise and blocking views. Are there any historical photos in your extensive archive that actually shows the CONSTRUCTION of the Castle 1909-1910?

Someone should look into my theory that Butler arranged for the North and South to co-sign for each others war loans. The bankers wouldn't deal with Governor Andrews unless there was a General Butler (in charge of collection? I think he supplied both sides with uniforms and such. Carney and friends were ready to loan the money but they wanted to make sure they got paid back (no matter which side won. Democrat Butler had the trust and connections to swing the deal.

This is a perfect example of "self-hating" Catholics that have been so popular in our "post-modern age." Why is Gallagher "beating a dead horse" and accusing the Catholic Church of being ANTI-JEWISH. That bullshit has been proven time and time again to be NOT TRUE. Get over it dude. Why are you in the church that you think is so evil? Leave it and become a jew, if you don't like it. It almost is like you are trying hurt the Church from the inside. WOW ?
