    Luck = Dealer! Are they using a mechanical shuffle or not. Do they completely mix up the deck before placing in mec shuffle? Do they perform a perfect hand shuffle 7x before the final cut, to completely randomize the deck? The statistics sited in poker are bogus. You can not use data in statistical analysis that is excluded from the total data set. Once the deck is shuffled and dealer cut the winning hand has been determined. 9 person table 18 (9 pairs hole cards) + 8 (3 burn, 5 board cards). The rest of the deck is no longer in use. So basically it doesn't matter how many types of cards are in the remaining deck, and that data can not be used in any statistical analysis.

    Show us one example where they actually fold and ladder up. I have never seen it happen. This whole "technique" is cringe AF.

    this effect should almost never happen in practice. - you are hoping that someone wakes up with a hand where inspite of the insane ICM pressure has to put all its stack in the middle -you are banking on the fact that the shorter of the other 2 stacks actually loses and busts. Now guess thats the probability of any of this? <0.2% i guess? there are so many big mistakes happening that focusing on this this is trivial.

    In the cEV sim all stacks are even; how do you think things change when you are the only shortstack?

    Your first example: 3:1 pot odds/how often do you need to win. Let's say you invested $1 in a $3 pot. Three times. You need to win one of those 3 pots to win back the $3 you invested. 1 in 3 (not 1 in 4).

  • @FloydMaxwell
    @FloydMaxwellКүн бұрын

    Maybe the problem is the lingo being used -- "you're getting 3:1" -- it would appear this means, you put in 1 and stand to win 3. But in fact it means, you put in 1 into a pot of 4. The lingo itself is confusing.

    If you split the cost of a pizza with 3 friends, you'd expect to get 1/4 of the pie, not 1/3. The same logic applies to pot odds.

    yea,i feel just a lot pictures comes out of my brain what does turn comes out or river, whats my opponent's response if i do something, just like play chess. U can use information and reading of the board, and ur hands blocking range to simulate decisions.

    Example 2: Most interesting part to discuss is the non turn barreling of Kdiamonds. Interesting because it is choosing to fire all of the other board pairing diamonds, likely due to potential of running into boats, and a big chunk of our opponents range when the money goes in being top pair two pair or sets which can become houses by the river

    It seems like the way you're calculating MDF is wrong. If you know your opponent will sometimes give up, when he reaches the river without a made hand, and he sometimes gets to the river with a made hand, then that ratio is the one you need to be calculating, not how often the opponent thinks you will fold.

    I would argue that a live 4 bet range from a maniac is still a lot of suited and high cards. They just play them like aces which means calling with a wider range that is more robust than theirs😅

    I think this was the most dense in depth video I've ever seen. Lots of concepts to study more deeply. Very humbling to hear someone with such a deep understanding of the game. One question on the concept of stable/unstable equity: is that mostly driven by what hands we can valuebet on the river or also by the part of our range that likes betting 'unstable boards' because of added equity?
