    The Wedgewood Vest is moving up my "knit now" - bought it last month ❤❤❤❤ I need to be ready for the 4 panel vest 😂😂😂 Those little Plinth tops are sooo cute - I do hope that you consider my suggestion to keep them dressed on a teddy bear when your daughter can't wear them anymore .

    Hello Kerri! I am a transplanted Ohioan now living in Tucson Arizona. I really liked your first podcast and your designs are very inspirational. I want to try making the tank when it becomes available as a pattern. I am intrigued with your segment about stash dive and revive. I think that it will become my favorite part of your. Podcast. Good luck.

    Thank you so much! I am actually a transplanted Missourian living in Ohio, but I love it here :) I think stash dive & revive is going to be very motivating for me - I may not have something every time but it's definitely going to be a recurring theme as I truly want to focus on using the things I have for a good portion of my projects, including finishing wips & repairing things that have started to wear through!

    Good job on your first official podcast on your channel! The new tank is such a fun idea for leftovers. I’m so glad you’re considering doing more top down designs because I much prefer that construction because I like to try on as I go and being fairly short I can also get a better fit on my sweater.

  • @kerriblumer
    @kerriblumer15 күн бұрын

    Thank you Rhonda! I definitely have a few more top down ideas floating around in my head, and I totally see the appeal of being able to try on. Though a fun trick for "trying on" bottom up pieces - you can pin them to the outside of an existing similar sweater with locking stitch markers or safety pins to get an idea of what the fit will be like.

    Yes, we do :) Lots of countries have a fashion or garment industry since we all need clothes! I'm sure you've heard of New York fashion week which is always one of the biggest fashion week showcases. What might be surprising to some is that there are lots of other cities in the US outside of NYC with fashion retail brand headquarters, garment manufacturing, or both!

    Darlene joining in from Nova Scotia, Canada. Congratulations on your first podcast. You did great and I love all your projects. I love your idea of stashdive and revive. I’m taking part in Crazy Sock Lady’s summer sock camp make-along and my goal was to use yarn in my stash long enough along with using up scraps. No matter what you make, you rarely use it all up. I love the idea of your tank top that can use four colors for the sections. Great podcast and I look forward to more of them.

  • @kerriblumer

    Hi Kerri - looking forward to the email about the pattern for the vest/tank. Love the design - can you consider a version with short sleeves to make it a t shirt. One of my fave patterns is a v & scoop t - very flexible. The little Plinth too for your daughter is so sweet - I'd buy a nice mohair teddy bear to "wear it"after she's grown out of it - great heirloom idea ❤

    I've definitely thought about a tee, it would be a bit of a different pattern to ensure a good fit through the shoulders. I think if I do I might make a DK weight (or fingering held double) and options for both short + long sleeves!

So, glad that I received your newsletter and opened it up to this superb tutorial and a great discount to this pattern. Could you demonstrate this method using the throw way of knitting instead of continental? Thank you

  • @kerriblumer
    @kerriblumer4 ай бұрын

    Hi there! I'm a continental knitter only, so unfortunately am not able to make a video with a throwing style! You may be able to find a similar video with a throwing style by searching for backwards yarnover bind off or reverse yarnover bind off. That being said, you can break down the overall concept step by step and apply it to your own knitting style: Set up: knit the first stitch 1. make a backwards yarn over by wrapping the yarn in the opposite direction you typically do (the 1st leg of the stitch will be mounted behind the needle instead of in front of the needle like it typically is) 2. knit the next stitch 3. slip the yo over the 1st stitch on the needles 4. slip the 2nd stitch on the needles over the 1st stitch on the needles Repeat steps 1-4

  • @kerriblumer
    @kerriblumer9 ай бұрын

    I currently just have everything from smallest to largest as you go from left to right. Each tube only has one size, so it's pretty easy to just count over. The sock side has 0-3, and the larger side has 4-9! At some point I do want to create a labeling system, but I don't want it to be permanent (like writing on the wood) in case I want to change what sizes go where in the future
