  I know everyone loves Dave. But Wilder was always my favorite. He was the musical engine in the group. And he also looked so damn cool. The band was never the same after his departure.

  Alan was gorgeous and absolutely irreplaceable, especially that hair of his - I wish I had been his hair stylist, so I could touch his hair and run my fingers through it (only a dream!!). But changing the subject, I read or heard an interview somewhere where it said that actually Vince Clarke wanted to rejoin, but the other band members (DG, MG and AF) laughed it off, is that true? Just interesting that VC left after the first year, he wasn’t with them when they had their first massive success in America towards the end of the 1980s. But he will never be in Alan’s league, although he formed Erasure, who were also very successful. An interesting back story, don’t know if it is true. But I will always love and respect and adore Alan, he was a genius. ❤xxxx
