I enjoyed this video very much. In reference to the comment about playing in the water drain pipe = I have great memories of doing just that in the late 1940s near Strategic Air Command in Bellevue,

You're such a blessing to this incredible horse❤ I just bought an extremely thin paint mare. She's my 1st gaited horse. She so sweet❤ We've only had her a couple weeks and she is already looking some better and she is definitely much happier! She hasn't been around another horse for over 2yrs. She's over the moon excited to have friend's! We have her 1st visit from a wonderful farrier tomorrow and Im looking forward to seeing her hooves looking better. No doubt she will be more comfortable! Thank you for saving this magnificent horse! I'm sure it was a win win situation ❤❤❤❤❤

He is beautiful! Thank God you bought him. He is in a much better environment. I used to show quarter horses. Being 68 I am not able to ride anymore because of my body being broken down from a physical job. Enjoy the time you have with Apollo and your farm of horses! ❤

Anne McCafferty wrote a young adults book called Black Horses for the King. It’s the story of how King Arthur introduced large horses to England to fight against the Saxons with along with how horseshoes were developed in Roman times. I can’t help but think of that book while watching these beauties cantering. I recommend everyone who loves horses (even adults ) to read it. Well worth the time.

Beautiful! I had a chance to purchase a beautiful black and white Clydesdale but knew my income could not afford his care. I trained horses for 43 years and was blessed to be able to train some Clydesdales from Budweiser to pull carts and to be ridden. Draft horses are soooo beautiful. Thank you for sharing your and Apollos journey.

I truly hope, that after all he has given you, that you keep him till the end of his days. That he gets to enjoy a soft retirement with you, even after his usefulness is over. He is a stunning horse that truly shows what love and other things, can accomplish! Apollo, you are awesome!

Why do you say P3 is not straight in the foot ? Foot grown twisted ? The frog centers over the P3 .(Coffin bone). Yes, I've seen twisted growing feet. I've seen indentations the size of your finger going across the hoof and had the pleasure of watching them grow out. And still trying to figure how they got there. You've done an awesome job. I take my time like you, many guys seem to rush thru. Horse owners are use to that then wonder why I might spend an hour and 1/2 shoeing vs 1 hr or less. I ask them how much quality they want.

Thank you for all of this! Fantastic to see him and you both grow. I learn from it as well, even for myself, especially at around 28 minutes into the video. I tend to think: "I can't do that, I'm not agile enough", or things like that, but with good and diligent training we can also accomplish more (even at 60 years of age, I think). Thanks! 😍 Good luck with him and best wishes to you all, including your daughter!

Goodness! Thank you for sharing and taking us along. Watching this demonstrating the teamwork of these horse's, do many together, makes one realize the TREMENDOUS amount of time and training that would go into this past or present. Great respect for this! And you got to meet and spend very quality time with a legend and one of your heroes. I am sure he was very pleased with all the wonderful things you and Apollo have done together. I am going to watch the complete 3 segments of this. Being a person who loves and appreciate s history, the jousting will be quite fastinating. Thank you Santiago.👏

I can't use a bit on my horse, not even a really gentle one but that's not because bits are abusive, its because the people who bread, trained, and hurt him were the abusive piece in the equation. I can't train that out of him and why would I? Not everyone who uses a bit is like those people
