  at 6:55 , any idea what that dialogue is between Maxim and Erim/Iris? In the normal version she doesn't have a thought cloud, so now Im curious what changes were made in there.

  @michelvanderlinden8363 The conversation is mostly the same as the final version from what I can see (Google translate) Erim: (speaking) But I helped you more than I needed to... I don't even know why I did that... Erim: (thoughts) I just can't understand, there's a feeling inside me... Some other differences are Dual Blade wasn't supposed to ring until another 100 years (instead of 1000 in the final version) , Iris mentions Maxim has only 5 minutes before Doom Island is going to fall on Parcelyte and Maxim has a thought bubble with "Thank you, Iris" after she disappears.

  ​@@SinReVi huh... the feelings part really should have stayed in imo. It would have tied in nicely with her strange attraction to Maxim's bloodline; she (as Lufia) has an attraction to Hero, and she also has an attraction to Wain. Thanks for uploading the videos. Shame a lot was still lost due to corruption, but its fun to see some minor changes.

  As you seem to quite knowledgeable when it comes to lufia and both dutch, have you ever covered version differences between lufia (US) and dutch lufia (PAL)? I noticed the exp vary between the second encounters of gades (10 000 vs 20 000)

  My favorite has to be the "Yomigaeru Densetsu" incarnation. Imagine how it would sound on PlayStation! (I'm sore there's no "Estpolis Denki III: Ruin Chasers", if you couldn't tell.) Edit: Of the original variants, my favorite is the DS one. Darn it, I need to purchase a copy of "Estpolis: The Lands Cursed by the Gods" already! (I enjoy purchasing and playing import games; almost all games I own are imports.)

  I can't decide if I like Tia returning to the party or not. Her arc in the original was in many ways both saddening and satisfying, and it was like an expression of catharsis to have her disappear for the rest of the game then have the final scene in the ending, but it also felt kind of cheap. She's a strong character, but you don't really get to experience that strength for much of the game. The DS version uses a "she found a new bf" cop-out. In truth, I think the best would be a blend of the two - she makes peace and returns to the party, but not just swapping her crush over to Dekar, instead becoming a fully realized, independent character.

  I remember owning this on DS thinking it was so strange but became absolutely obsessed one night playing it in bed on a school night until like 4am 🤣 huge core memory that shaped me so much. Special place in my heart RF1 has :)

  I'm no poet, or lyricist, and I also tried to keep the translation in tempo with the singing, so the empty lines simply means a longer pause. So it's a bit stilted in placed, but hopefully it should come across well enough!   Hadn't played the remake so I expected it to be better but the original is much better imo.
