Dont you have to specify the material direction for cihesive element?

it will be based on your need. It should come from a mechanical test of your sample or reasonable assumptions.

Agreed, I would very much appreciate some kind of explanation of the parameters you insert into Abaqus. Say we have a material where I know the elastic parameters and the fracture toughness, how are those related to the input parameters you had prepared in the video? E.g. here I read that the stiffness should be matched with the cohesive element thickness: abaqus-docs.mit.edu/2017/English/SIMACAEELMRefMap/simaelm-c-cohesivebehavior.htm
