    We have installed these lights in our library and every light fixture was off the ceiling from one side. Some are 3/4” and most are over 1/4”. Do you have that issue. The contractor was saying the ceiling was soft. It wasn't.

    Note: the metal plate can be off the electrical box. As long as the lamp covers the box it can be off a few inches. One could screw them to the nearest studs for example. Also, to remove the lamp, push up then slide length-wiser.

    You showed my exact model…. Thank you. Great video AS IS. Mine did not want to lock in…. I would thought it was defective. I had to pry the bracket mounts away from the ceiling a tiny bit. That bracket is like spring metal. If I install another I will loosen it up before even starting. Thank You!

    What are the dimensions of this room? I'm thinking installing this lamp in a 8.5ft x 12ft Kitchen with 8ft tall ceiling and I'm not sure if it would be enough. What are your thoughts?

    Wheres is the toggle switch, to change color light?

  • @djm5k
    @djm5k10 ай бұрын

    I have a 15” round version of this fixture in my closet. As far as color temperature is concerned, mine has a setting on toggle switch that allows you to change color temperature by turning fixture on and off quickly until you reach desired color temperature. The fixture will maintain that setting until you quickly turn on/off again to change color temperature. I also have mine on a dimmer switch. It’s a good idea to use a dimmer switch compatible with LED fixtures. Mine is a Lutron Triac dimmer made for incandescent, CFL and LED fixtures.

    I know this is an old video but the 24” one I just purchased comes with the mounting plate securely clipped on to the back. Step 1 of the instructions says to mount the plate but I can’t figure out how to get the plate unattached from the fixture. I know there has to be a simple trick to it but this video skipped right over the one thing I needed to know.

    Do you know how to remove this after it is clicked into place if I want to change the switch settings? I installed this following the instructions and it was super simple. I now want to switch the settings but I can’t for the life of me, slide it back the other way out. Thank you!

    Quick update on my side. I still have not been able to remove the thing, but I was able to change the switch setting by pulling on the light corner where the switch is and moving the switch with my pinched finger. Not matter how hard I push to slide the lamp it still won't move. Hopefully it never goes bad, or I will have to brake it to remove it.

    @@dalegarza4198 I figured it out but not by sliding it back out. I can pull on the same corner where the switch is inside the panel and slid the switch to the position I wanted. I could have left it in the position that allows you to change the light by flicking the wall switch several times, but some of the kids that visit us from time to time figured out they could flicker the lights to change the color, so I needed a fixed temp and fixed it bu pulling the frame a bit and like I said, changed it. You’re welcome. To remove, you just have to un-mount it from the plate; which can be done by pushing up while sliding to the left or right. It’s much easier than locking it in place. Hope that helps, if not let me know. Good luck!

    I will admit it’s a bit of a pain to lock into place. You have to push up on opposite edges and slide at the same time. Took me a few tries, but was able to get it latched. You can also widen a bit where the lamp latches onto the ceiling plate, that should help.

    Thanks for posting. I installed 2 of these and one has some pretty major gaps form the ceiling, any advice on how to fix that? I’ve thought about using Velcro on the ceiling and on top of the light

  • @nomonkeybusiness5802
    @nomonkeybusiness58023 жыл бұрын

    You’re welcome! Not sure if it’s for the same reason, but I had a few gaps as well. My problems was the light wasn’t properly latched onto the base plate. I originally pushed up on the center of the light to slide and latch onto the base plate, but ended up with gaps on opposing sides. To fix it, it’s best if you push up on the opposing edges and slide. It took some effort, but light sits flush. If that doesn’t work, as long as the light is properly secured, command velcro strips seems like a good idea to close those gaps. Let me know if either of these work. Good luck!

    @@nomonkeybusiness5802 Thanks! We're going through a remodel, and our powder room has Dekton Trillium countertop, the waterfall oil rubbed bronze faucet, similar to your, just less farmhouse and more straight lines, and dark hickory custom shaker cabinets with a rustic backsplash. The sink is a Native Trails CPS238 vessel copper sink. We hade to shorten the depth of the vanity by 4" because the area is so small, so had to go from a 20x15.75" overmount copper sink to a smaller vessel. I'm not doing it myself, so I'm impressed when I see people doing their own. Very cool.

    Are you able to mount it offset? My situation my overhead cables come out of the ceiling off center from my table (above the end of the table). I was hoping to get a rectangular LED panel and mounting it on the far end with the other half pushed toward the center of the table.

  • @nomonkeybusiness5802
    @nomonkeybusiness58024 жыл бұрын

    You could run your existing cables through a pocket at either end of the plate, since there is a small space between the plate and the LED panel for the wires. The majority of the panel will sit above the desk, but it would still be off center. A few things to consider: 1. Be careful to not pinch the wires when you clip the LED panel onto the plate. 2. Placing an additional anchor at the center of the plate for support, since you won’t be screwing it to the electrical box. 3. Depending on how much slack you have on your existing cables, you might need a bit more to connect the panel. Hope that helps!
