I like lamb,...but NOT with MINT and/or FRUIT. Let the expensive protein shine. I shared your recipe with my son who's been cooking professionally for years, and it was a winner. We don't like the "heat" as much as you do, but as you always say, we flavored our way and it was awesome. Ty for you time and efforts

Hey Lisa! We missed you! I’m fascinated by your ability to eat such wonderful meals so frugally. I’d love to hear more about how you shop frugally, specifically household items like TP, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc and also, do you 3 eat snacks during the day? I feel like I spend a fortune on household items and snacks alone 🤦🏻‍♀️

Doing the thick cabbage slices like that in a sheet pan with some water, underneath a whole chicken roasting in the oven makes them absolutely delish (from soaking up the chicken liquids). Even if the head of cabbage is old and dehydrated aka. forgotten cabbage lol - it still turns out amazing.

I love this video. Brings back good memories! My mom and grandma were the cooks! I remember both of them working for days on the meal (same with Thanksgiving). We would have the traditional turkey and dressing. We would stuff the turkey and then have baked dressing on the side as well. As the years went on and mom and grandma passed on, my sister would take Christmas and I would take Thanksgiving. Each one of us would try to make it our own but nothing was better than the days when mom and grandma were in the kitchen. We are now in different states and no longer get together on the holidays. But for my family, we changed from turkey or ham to a beef tenderloin or a crown roast. Always so much more than we can eat! With that I fix twice baked potatoes, (sometimes mashed as well) along with a Yorkshire pudding, gravy, deviled eggs, roasted brussels sprouts and steamed broccoli as well. All in all, its about the food but more about the memories. This year, it will be my son and his fiancé's turn to take over. I'm passing the helm to them. It's wonderful how these traditions are passed along. Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday season coming in 2024. Be well and thank you again for your delish and creative meals. I watch you very often. xx

I'm a little surprised you didn't make tortillas. I'm used to seeing that from you. Have you ever thought about making rice patties? Or rice balls stuffed with sausage? Ten yrs ago I was broke, broke, broke and I remember a friend gifted me an opened 5lb bag of pinto beans from her aunt's pantry. That and $7 was all I had until payday. Amazing how you make things work when you run out of options.

i made this cheese, but I used a gallon of whole milk, 1 cup of whipping cream, and a cup of half and half, heated the mixture, then added both white vinegar and lemon juice, and salt. It was very tart, didn't get the curds at first, so I reheated it, and they were loose curds, not solid. I let them drain in a towel with layers of paper towels over a pot with my lined strainer. It sat for several hours, before i took it out, drained more liquid, and placed in a paper towel lined container in fridge overnight. Mine has the texture of mascarpone cheese, slightly sweet and a bit salty. It's wonderful.

The broccoli stalk, peel it like you would a potato and it’s perfect to eat like your slim broccoli stalks. I use it sliced in cauliflower cheese but I’m from the UK and we eat things a bit different over here oddly enough. Love your show

if you want a more authentic tasting tortilla, throw them straight onto a burner thats on medium-medium low on each side for 2-5 seconds juuuust before theyre done cooking off of the griddle, they will get the charred flavor you would get in Mexico, sooooo good!
