It’s so confusing. Israel is the only place in the Middle East where Palestinians can live free. Millions live there and live safe lives and are part of the government in the military and law-enforcement. Do you think Israelis hate people based on their religion or ethnicity? Don’t you think it might be more impactful to perform in front of a crowd of radical Islamists Palestinians who are devoted to murdering Jews as part of their charter?

I've been a motorhead fan and Black Flag fan since '79. Back In 89 or 90 met Lemmy in a crappy bar in Halifax, NS called the Misty Moon, he was amazing and bought us a round of shots \m/ Almost met Henry in '92 in Toronto, But he went from MuchMusic right onto his tour bus... However we did meet Chris Hasket on the street later that day and he knew how far we drove .... we were morons , drove 20 hours to see the Rollin Band and no tickets haha and they were playing only two nights at the Opera House ... Anyway Chris put me and my friends on the guest list and we got right in. ... Great memories

I think the idea that The Book of Job is one of the first critiques of ideology is a brilliant idea. Nobody that I know of likes this Book. The fact that the Church Fathers left it as part of the canon is significant. It is still a mystery.

Palestine was never an established state, they're not occupied. All Arab governments won't allow Palestinian refugees for them. Arab states want Palestinians to stay in Gaza for war and not return back to Jordan, who the Arab Palestinians actually are, they are Jordanians who call themselves Palestinians, they were originally Jews, just converted to Islam.

2:11 to 2:17 I am currently at a point in my bass guitar journey from Geddy Lee and Billy Sheehan bass lines and styles to my own, I want to master the art of the pocket as a bass player. Very few bass players can utiltize the full spectrum of rhythm and I have been playing over a decade. This is what I want to master and I'm still figuring out the art of the pocket as a bass player. It's a science in and of itself.

In case you may not already know, the name of the bass player he's referring to in this interview is Scott Thunes. He was the bass player (and sort of assistant band leader, from most accounts) for Zappa's last international tour in 1988.

What hes saying here is that for belief-systems to function, it is almost radically needful for the believer to believe there to be an element 'behind' it all, something which undergirds but doesnt in truth explain the lifeworld of the believing individual and-or of the culture. Basically, a fairy or an Oz behind the curtain. For many it is God and-or the State, for some there's the demiurgical counterpart in the figure of the Jew or the White Man, ghosts and devils, or what have you.
