TreeVibes Bonsai & Garden / Plant Hunter TV

Hi, my name is Leonardo, and I'm a huge fan of plants and nature. I've been into bonsai and gardening for the past 10 years, and I'm really excited to share my work with you through my channel.

Living in a climate with short summers and long, cold winters, I've become quite skilled at growing sub/tropical trees indoors. I've been doing this for almost a decade now, and I'm happy to share tips and tricks with others who are interested in indoor and outdoor gardening.

In addition to my channel, I also offer bonsai and garden consulting, where I can share my experience and expertise to help you achieve the best results with your own plants.

If you enjoy my videos, please consider liking and subscribing so that you can stay up-to-date on my latest content. I also have a telegram channel where I share even more of my work and news, which you can check out here: t.me/tree_vibes. Thanks for your support!.

    Another tip, if you want a good healthy branches do not prune this type of Bougainvillea every year. Prune it once in 2 years (once before summer if it developed tree). In other periods of the year just prune small unnecessary buds and wire it - let the branches grow longer. This type of Bougainvillea is a very slow growing tree compare to other types of Bougainvillea.

  • @TreeVibes
    @TreeVibes25 күн бұрын

    That is unfortunately not possible because there is limited space indoors. They are all indoor trees. They just got out one summer and that was a big mistake because it was raining the whole summer.

  • @BonsaiForRoman
    @BonsaiForRoman24 күн бұрын

    @TreeVibes I know, you are from sweden, there is a techniques for this, do not prune and when you are wiring it - wire the whole branch, lower horizontally the base of the branch where you want it to be horizontal and rest of the branch vertically, like "L" shape. Or you can just make a rack from wire around the pot.

    You can leave the flowers of Bougainvillea, the flowers of Bougainvillea are not using carbohydrates storage like other types of trees and shrubs. The growth period of branches and flowers are separated from each other. Bougainvillea flowering 3 times a year. Another argument for this, the big pink part of the flower is not a flower it is a leaf. It happens because of pink pigment that tree is storing in a trunk, you can see this pigment in a trunk when you prune big trunks. You are OK, just more information for you. 😀

  • @TreeVibes

    Never to late to start with bonsai 😁 but I think the walnut will not be the best to start with. It's not the best tree to bonsai because of the leaf size but it always fun to play around with. Tank you for the sub! 🙏

    @@TreeVibes thanks! Actually, I already have a few Japanese maples and some beeches that are just in the "getting used to the pot" stage. Live on edge of old growth beech, maple and oak forest. Avg beech age is 150+. Literally hundreds of beech saplings every year, but they cannot overcome the dense canopy and perish...maybe 10% or less survuve. 7a East Tennessee .( Daniel Boone walked through my yard...old part of the world!)

    There wasn’t really anything about how you are growing these plants indoors. it looks like you’re doing a great job, but you didn’t mention what type of lighting you use or the nutrients that you put in the soil, when you prune them, etc. You mentioned number of other things that was good information, but didn’t tell us how you grow them indoors. Can you tell us what type of light you use and what are the nutrients that you put in the soil? Also what is it you do indoors that are good for growth? That would be great. Even better do another video.

    I don't go into details because I am not sponsored by any company and I don't want to promote any products because all products are not really available everywhere in the world. I said how the soil structure should be. I said Don't be afraid to Nuke it with nutrients (add as much nitrogen as possible). I said how strong lamps should be 😁 and pruning depends on what you want to achieve 😉

    I planted six walnuts last year from seeds that sprouted in very strange conditions - in a metal bowl, behind the microwave, with the very occasional condensation drip from the heating pipes above. Two of them went on to hatch from the ground last summer and now I'm thinking of potting them.
