This channel is dedicated to my project of recording amateur audiobooks of George RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire fantasy novel series. This has been a project for my friends, but now I've decided to post them publicly for a lark. I have no intention of profiting off of these videos in the extremely unlikely event that some sort of audience develops for this. This project is intended as a tribute to a series I love, and as a way to get some of my stubborn friends to consume the novels that I love. Not every take is perfect, and not every silly voice is consistent, and not every voice that's really just a glorified impression of a cast member from the tv show is very good, but I hope you enjoy.

Who is Rosby's heir? It's been mentioned in a few other chapters, but they keep brushing it aside. I think it will be important later on.

I've listened to all of your recordings of the series and I just want to add my thanks to all the others. You're the best, much better than the official audiobooks. Thanks again, I greatly appreciate your work.

While it's obvious that Brienne isn't telling the truth there, I strongly disagree with people theorizing that she'll lure him in a trap to have him killed, outnumbered and slaughtered. Brienne is one of the few truly and purely honorable characters in the book and there no way she'd tell a lie to someone she greatly respects (despite knowing about his many sins), just to use his trust and have him killed. That would be the most dishonorable thing to her. We don't know what happened after she saved her group from death in the last moment. I think there must be some kind of deal that will at least save Jaime's life (for the moment at least). Or maybe she made a promise to kill Jaime but without the actual intention to honor that - Yes, honor above all, but Jaime's story also told her that it's not about always blindly following an oath but about doing the right thing as there will be times they'll need to make such a tough choice. I believe Brienne reaction to Jaime's story shows that she doesn't think that breaking an oath to do the right thing is dishonorable. Facing Lady Stoneheart might become the biggest challenge to Jaime's and Brienne's characters. His whole life Jaime thought that Cersei is his soulmate, that their life and destiny can't be seperated but now I think maybe Brienne is his true soulmate (or his oher soulmate) seeing how their stories intertwine. I think Brienne will have to make that hard choice that Jaime once had to make. Will she become an oathbreaker, too, in the eyes of the common people, as she might end up killing Lady Stoneheart if she ultimately tries to kill Pod or Jaime? She swore an oath to Cat, but is Lady Stoneheart and Cat really the same person now? Can she follow someone who blindly kills for vengeance?

Looking at different theories I feel like Aurane waters definitely lied about what happened to Loras. If taking Dragon stone really could’ve been done bloodless there’s no way someone who jaime entrusted with the command of the kings guard would send 1000 men to death especially knights and young lords. Then the story of him riding into battle with a morning star raises a big question. If anything I would say Aurane is bought and paid for by someone and this story is a bit of proof to that.

I really love how we get to see into Ned's thoughts. I started out with the show, and it was a shame I missed out on this scene for so long. Although it's really hard to adapt a character's innermost thoughts in a visual medium a lot of the time. Ahhhh! This is so sad! Especially knowing what's about to come. And your narrating and voice acting makes it more heart-wrenching

Man, for everyone that rags on Sansa, saying that they'd knew better when they were her age 11, she's still a kid who went with what adults told her to do. Like she's not all fault. It's not great what she did, but it's hard not to feel sympathetic for her. They're the authority figures. They hold power higher than her family. It's not a suprise she went along with them. She was brought up to obey the adults around her, and she'd prove she's an obedient girl worthy of becoming a queen one day. Then with all the coercion from Maester Pycell, accusing her of having traitorous blood. That was a heinous thing to say, and Cersei knew how to make her feel even more scared and insecure. Add that with the fact she's been brought up on fantastical and romantic stories about knights and royalty being solely good, she'll be clinging to it as long as she can. It's pretty much all she knew. Yeah, maybe it would've been better if Ned told her and Arya about the reality of the world they live in. That there's rotten people and in charge of corrupt systems. But I guess he didn't want to tell them, so they didn't lose their innocence. I have a young cousin, 8yo. I always wished that when I was a kid, I was told the truth of the world. But as an adult, I want to protect him from the realities as long as I can. I know it's not possible to do it forever, and I do want him to learn those realities so he didn't turn out as naive and ignorant as I did growing up. But you always end up asking yourself, should I crush this kid's reality now? How hurt is he going to be if he doesn't know about this sad and horrid truth? Will he still be able to love the fantasy stories where good and justice always triumph, or would i ruin it too quickly? It's really tricky. And once you teach them the realities of the world, there's no going back. This whole chapter, I couldn't help but keep saying, "Oh honey, sweetie, no..." or "that poor sweet summer child." Cause this is the beginning of Sansa's worldview to eventually be torn apart in the series. Also, for what's in store for her, poor Jeyne...

It's sad that this is the world Ned is operating in. Would love him to be a leader IRL. I know lots of people tend to blame Ned for being "too honorable," but he's in a dishonorable world. Once he's gone, the world gets worse. Especially with all the other nobles playing the game who keep perpetuating a dishonorable world
