Crafty Thoughts & Whatnots

Hello all! My name is Whitney Lucas with Crafty Thoughts & Whatnots and welcome to my craft channel. Handmade home decor is my passion. It brings me immense joy to create new pieces and share them with the public. I love to make all sorts of things from flower arrangements, wreaths, topiaries, lantern swags, crochet items, scrapbook/card making, stamping and so much more, so I felt Crafty Thoughts & Whatnots would encompass all of my crafting passions as well as enable me to share them with all of you. Thank you all for your time and interest in my channel!

Absolutely loved all three projects. You just crack me up because I would think exactly like you in terms of wanting to use the moss everywhere 😅. Once you find something that is so fun to use and looks so great you just want to use it on everything. I get it. You’re also very creative. Enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing…

Absolutely GORGEOUS! WOW!!! Love the tip about putting the bag around the florals to remember your vision. If I ever get my stash built back up, I’m going to use that tip! I have downsized 8 times (craft supplies and living space) in the last 14 years. I gave away 90% of my craft supplies- among those ALL of my six tote bins of florals😢. Now that things have settled and I’m feeling relatively confident that I’m going to be in this world for a little while longer, I’m regretting some of what I gave away. I miss doing the floral arrangements. Maybe one day again. I thought the sign was great! 😉 that was about the only swear word I used back then. I was concerned that it was going to be my children’s first word. 🤣🤣🤣 thankfully, it wasn’t. My mom would have been mortified. Heehee Thank you for sharing your amazing talents!!! 💜

Whitney… I was so excited when I saw you posted a new video! I have been thinking about you and wondering how you were doing? How’s the leg? I absolutely adore your projects, your style, your humour, your commentary and you- keeping it real! I haven’t seen a project that I haven’t loved . I am so thankful that I found you ! When I was 10, I went to see my grandfather in Florida - he was a snow bird for 6 months. I have pictures of him standing , leaning up against a tree with Spanish moss hanging like a beard… right to the ground. Thinking about it, makes me smile… I never dreamt I would be using it all these years later. I love it too. So much you can do with it. Can’t pick a favourite - love them all! Thank you sooooooo much for sharing with us! I can only imagine the work that goes into making a video. Def appreciated. Luv ‘n hugs! 💜

Well first off, that wreath was sooo pretty. And second those colors together were great. Your grandma sounds like my Aunt Norie. Her real name was Eleano,r but she went by Norie. Anyway, great job on that wreath it is really pretty.

I'm back....!!!!! The DT book piece that you added the canvas wth the roster stamp is a very close love to the bird house and could be my fav in this video. I have saved this video to replicate each of them for my home. The flowers I Iwill (like you) not glue them permantely onto the project so that I can change them for each season. The birdhouse will be a 2 season piece.

I love the clock, I wondered if you kinda glittered up the arms of the clock, I noticed you had sum darker color paints blended in the decorative parts on the clock, and thought the glittered arms would help the eyes go to the inside of the clock, maybe a couple dark colored glitter and clear ones.njust a thought 🤔 sorry

She truly does conversate like you’re sitting there with her crafting n I personally absolutely LOVE IT‼️ She makes the viewer feel like she’s instructing them n just chatting like we would if we were either watching or crafting alongside. 😊 Plus, she’s got a nice calm voice n she’s fun and funny too😬🤪😊😌👍

I love all of these. They are very pretty. I agree with you on flower arranging. I can craft anything. I see, paint work with clay so many things but my favorite thing to do is arrange flowers. I just made ALL of the flowers for a formal French country wedding, and I loved it. The flowers was so beautiful. I got a lot of compliments on them.

Sign me up on the "don't you dare say you talk too much" bandwagon. You are one of the few creators I actually watch clear through, from beginning to end without speeding through just to see the end result. There is just something soothing, yet magical, about your voice and the way you talk. Let the haters mute you. I'll turn you up, every time!

If your resin completely hardens you can make it pliable again with a heat gun.....30 seconds or so will soften it but work fast as it will harden again quickly!

I have used the Amazing Resin and I love it. When it cures and I need it to be pliable, I stick it in the microwave and nuke it for a few seconds and it will become pliable once again. I have also used the heat gun to make it pliable once it has cured. I have an old teeny weeny microwave that I use so that if the resin is releasing harsh chemicals when its nuked, I don't contaminate food.
