let go of expectations
Being stuck on such a small place with so many complications and compromises if the person ain’t willing to put the other/partner first this is the place where every couple find out what they Made out of and it’s either Make it or Brake it. Most likely ……….. here
my father and grandfather pendleton, and even i.. prefer varnished clear coated boats always!
What type of sailboat is that I have a Morgan 35 that looks very similar
What is the name of the varnish
Is it legal to sail a private boat to Cuba?
Nice video tour...i just bought the same version 1986 Niagara 35, awesome build and great layout. Love it and a true blue water boat that will protect me wherever I go.
To much for a simple job..
The left handed reel used in reverse as a right handed reel was interesting. Lucky you didn’t catch a large fish and pop the eyes off the rod. Awesome trip!
Must of broke up after this
I would have just removed the thermostat or drilled it to stay open.
Mr. Excitement didn't sell it to me ....😄
I went to it today!! And it is so cool.
What kind of CAT is that one? I'm normally a monohull guy, but I like to look of that one.
Truely amazing vid everyone... 10/10
Dolphin is quite nice cooked Rite, bit salty.
My uncle cooked for his 40th massive party no one new until after hahahaha
My women would not be wearing bikini on a boat all male 🔫
Excellent video. Very helpful.
Perrraaaaa…que ricaaaaass
I’m currently dealing with keel movement issues in a Sabre 28-2. Obviously not the same boat, but a similar lead keel bolted to a stub as your boat. A couple comments I’d love to get your feedback on. First, did you use any lube (grease, anti-seize, etc) on the keel bolt threads?, second, did you verify that all the athwartship bracing is solidly attached (my Sabre had some pulling of the tabbing on a few which prob contributed to stub movement), third, why did you choose epoxy for the keel/stub seam? Sabre community is strongly against using epoxy because it won’t tolerate flex and could crack again. Sabre people recommend either a polyester goo like 4000 or even 5200 or plain old polyester putty. Finally, you said you used 4000 around leaking keel bolts. Did you knotch the fiberglass around the bolt first or just squeeze it in as best you could? My boat leaks at both the keel bolts and the keel/stub joint. Ugh! Anyway, sorry for all the words and thanks for sharing your experience. I may do the same on my Sabre 28-2.
When And If has been summering in my home port of Salem Mass. We love seeing her out in the bay when we are out sailing. There is another Schooner in Salem called Fame (A Pinky schooner), when these two beauties pass close together, it is quite a sight!
I saw it at the ferry dock in Salem, Mass last summer. The Fame is a replica ; the original was built in nearby Essex, Mass.
Too fat for bikini clickbait..stop it
Great video, I'm going to retire in the next few years and I'm starting to look at sailboats now. This is great knowledge for me, thank you.
Respect the sea or it will swallow you
i like the bimini enclosure, where thy get it done at?
I really enjoyed this, thank you!⛵️
Excellent work, all. I have a rule of thumb when it comes to filters…”When it doubt, swap it out!” The cost of a filter is so miniscule in comparison to everything else on the boat/car/truck/tractor. If it’s doing it’s job, it WILL get clogged, and fuel dilters get clogged because diesel tanks grow algae in them if steps aren’t taken OFTEN to prevent it. Shipyards and fuel docks are notorious for having massive algae blooms, especially in summer months. It happened in my company’s shop, we have to decommission our off-road diesel tank because it grew algae, and having it cleaned and re-coated is more than the taxes we pay on the fuel in 5 years…that’s an easy simple step to get rid of it, but it never would have happened if the fuel company driver had added the conditioner we provided for them. It literally is still sitting on top of the tank unopened.
I like the way you two interact.
That is great to learn.
I told my wife, if you complain about how the job is being done. You will be doing the job next time.
OMG - where we will be in March if all hell doesn't break loose! Depart PNS to Tortugas then Keys then across!
I really miss "Boatyard Annie"!
Dayum that boat is ugly.
Guys sipping white wine. How lame.
Girl, this is gold! Thank you!
What happened to you guys? Are you still cruising?
thats not single handed
Hi, love the boat, enjoying the tour, but.... At 4:44 you wave to the camera in the mirror. In any other setting, this wouldn't be a problem, but since you are doing while touring a boat, you must pay royalties for the copyrighted gesture, to Nick Burnham of Aquaholics. I'm sure you're familiar with him and his channel, if not feel free check him out. In nearly every video, he waves you himself. His wife even does it now when she makes videos.
I am an of course joking. Just a little KZread creator humour
Were you being a little too liberal with the solvents😉??
Nice boat..interesting visit..thank you 👋😍🇨🇭⛵️too much dark wood inside maybe..? Nice woman..very funny ❤😅
To be a better boat handler simply get a longer boat hook
That flyby was amazing! Great video. It looks like you're not making any more videos, but I've got a few to catch up on any way. (And I'll admit, I shed a tear as you rolled into port and I heard the son yelling!)
When you need it done...call a man
Visiting the Azores whilst crossing the Atlantic is always special hopefully, I'll be there in two weeks whilst sailing to Bermuda at the start of my summer sailing trip this year.
Really enjoyed the episode. I also have a Pearson 36 cutter (hull #9) and was inspired by the care Kevin has taken of the boat. I was wondering which ice box conversion unit he was using. This is a HUGE ice box and most units are not rated to cool this size...
why you running the engine fur 2 hrs in open water 😂
There was also another version of this boat, one that didn't have the V-berth. It had a work area up front instead. That one was nice for launching or dousing a spinnaker in tough conditions, & it was easy to climb out of the front hatch, but the overall layout was less livable. You have a nice, well kept example of a Niagra 35. Thank you for maintaining a classic and thank you for sharing.
This is so cool!! I had no idea there was an Alden that made these! Freaking crazy stuff. Boats freak me out a bit. ( Grew up in Iowa) This thing looks absolutely amazing though.. Just beautiful
