Honestly underwater flares have a longer shelf life and produce massive amounts of light and smoke = EXPENSIVE though.

Nyt oli sen verran selkeä video että ensikertainen veneen korjauksessakin alkoin ymmärtää.. Lasikuituveneen pohjassa on muutamia kolhuja kuituun asti, sekä yksi isompi aiempi paikka alkanu irvistää. Hioin kolhut puhtaaksi ja putsaan isomman jäljen suht isolta alueelta ympäri. Eli etenemä olisi näin: Kuitua + epoksia isoihin paikkoihin (pienemmästä isompaan paikkaan, n. 5kerrosta) Pienet kolhut mitkä ei ole kuidussa asti lasikuitukitillä Hionta kuivuneelle matoille + kittuas lasikuitukitillä vai viimeistelykitillä? Hionta Sitten itse maalauksesta kyssäriä: -Millä maalilla korjatut kohdat pitäsi käsitellä. Epoksimaali (primer) + topcoat maali? -Veneessä on maali myös hilseillyt. Sille hionta+ sama setti kuin ylempänä. Ilmeisesti ei tarvetta hinkata koko pintamaalia pois? Kyseessä satunnaisessa käytössä oleva pikkupurkki, niin ihan mahottomia ei toinna tehdä, mutta kuitenkin sellaista että pysys maalit kiinni.

No jos se hilseilee se maali siinä, niin sitten joudut hiomaan sen kaiken pois, koska se hilseily jatkuu siinä uuden maalin alla kuitenkin. Jos maalaat epoksimaalilla, niin et tarvitse primeriä siinä. Sillä vaan koko homma niin pysyy ja kestää. Tästä oranssin veneen projektista alkaa jo aikaa olla ja tuo maali mitä tässä käytin on pysynyt tähän asti kiinni kauttaaltaan ainakin toistaiseksi.

Our experiments in the UK show that the reliability of old pyrotechnic flares and smokes is all about the firing mechanism and not about the main pyrotechnic charge. A common situation here is that expiry of marine pyro is ensured by using a carbon steel fire wire which rusts through and makes it unusable after a few years. This looks like a blatant commercial exploitation since other pyro that uses copper fire wires last for decades. In some parts of the world, a chemical striker is used to fire the pyrotechnics and this method also has a limited life. The main pyrotechnic charge will last a very very long time. One experienced academic with 40 years experience of ammunition and pyrotechnics put it to me that if these things expired then we wouldn't need to worry about unexploded bombs left over from wars! Safe disposal of pyro is a serious problem in some territories, including the UK. LED versions will only be a slight improvement since it involves Lithium batteries!

Different flare, same type. You have one go to try to ignite, if it doesn't fire up, then it doesn't. This third type didn't ignite, because it's just so lousy quality. Avoid it.

Terve! Joo ei me tarvita. Edellisessä paatissa oli, mutta se on meillä heti sammaleessa, kun me mennään automaatilla pelkästään aina. Myrskyssä menee hanska hommiksi joka tapauksessa ja noista puolista kun pitelee, niin keskikohta on lihasmuistissa katsomatta. Tottumis kysymys tietysti.

Kiitos palautteesta! Juu näin tyynellä kelillähän tuo on helppo homma. Tuulen noustessa homma vaikeutuu ja aallokossa koko homman voikin sitten unohtaa. Tuosta musiikista on tullut paljon rakentavaa palautetta ja noissa uusimmissa videoissa olenkin yrittänyt sen käyttöä vähentää mahdollisuuksien mukaan. (Joskus tuulen kohinaa tulee sen verran reippaasti, että äänen saa leikata kokonaan pois ja sitten joutuu väkisinkin pistämään täytteeksi musiikkia.) Kevättä odotellaan malttamattomasti tässä jo, vaikka talvi ei vielä ole edes alkanut! Uusia videoita tulee sitten taas! :-)

Glykolia ei kannata laittaa pönttöön. Rikkoo tiivisteet vaihtokuntoon. Riittää, että pumppaa pöntön tyhjäksi. Jäätyminen ei sitä riko, glykoli kylläkin.

Kiitos palautteesta! Juu vaikea sanoa tähän mitään. Edelliset tiivisteet vaihdoin kun ne oli 20 vuotta vanhat. Enemmän ongelma oli niihin kertynyt virtsakivi ja siitä johtuva vuoto. Olivat toki myös kovettuneet, mutta uskoisin sen jo johtuvan niiden korkeasta iästä muutekin, ennemmin kuin glykolista. O-renkaathan nyt kestävät glykolia, siinä missä moottorissakin. Alatiiviste (venttiili) ja ylätiiviste (venttiili) taas menevät jonkin ajan kuluttua vaihtokuntoon edellä mainitun niihin kertyvän virtsakiven takia. Samoin takaiskuventtiili. Muista tiivisteistä vaikea sanoa. Olet oikeassa että pöntön pumpun saa tyhjäksi pumppaamalla. Meillä tuohon systeemiin jää väistämättä "tavaraa" joka muuten jäätyy talvella. Esimerkiksi säiliön tyhjennyspumppu on sellainen osa meillä, johon on hyvä saada talveksi imettyä glykolit. Myös säiliön tyhjennysletkuun jää väkisinkin "tavaraa", joka voi rikkoa liitokset.

1:04 and 1:20 I am pretty sure these birds are cormorants, saw the same-looking birds about a week ago south of Seoul, Korea and had to look it up. Beautiful birds and amazing that they are so spread-out across the world.

Yep. They are Great Cormorants. Somewhat newcommers here. The population is luckily not very big here yet. These birds can destroy the nature quite some bit. They typically invade some island in a large colony and in a year or two the place turns into a grey dead rock. (Not a big fan of these birds as you can see...)

Terve. Tämä vedettiin fosforihapolla, kun sitä oli tuolla hyllyssä. Tavallisesti porukka käyttää oksaalihappoa, tai sitruunahappoa. Oksaalihappoa saa maalaus alan liikkeistä ja sitruunahappo on halvinta jossakin traktorikaupassa. Apteekista saa pieniä määriä myös. Voit vetäistä pakkauksen ohjeilla. Lasikuitu kestää kyllä vahvemmatkin tökötit. Liuotinpesuaineilla tulee myös puhdasta, mutta sitten pitää vedellä perässä asetonilla.

Nice video. Thank you.. addtional info: As all the oil inside the volvo penta can not be completely vacuumed, most of the grid still stays in oil pan. So even oil + oil filter changed, there are still have many unwanted particules left in engine oil.

Alatiiviste (venttiili) ja ylätiiviste (venttiili) taas menevät jonkin ajan kuluttua vaihtokuntoon edellä mainitun niihin kertyvän virtsakiven takia. Samoin takaiskuventtiili. Muista tiivisteistä vaikea sanoa. Olet oikeassa että pöntön pumpun saa tyhjäksi pumppaamalla. Meillä tuohon systeemiin jää väistämättä "tavaraa" joka muuten jäätyy talvella. Esimerkiksi säiliön tyhjennyspumppu on sellainen osa meillä, johon on hyvä saada talveksi imettyä glykolit. Myös säiliön tyhjennysletkuun jää väkisinkin "tavaraa", joka voi rikkoa liitokset.

Just itse täällä Helsingholmenilla nauttimassa savulohta. Eiköhän jotain tule videon muodossakin. Aspö näytti kivalle. Ei malttanut pysähtyä siihen kun oli niin hyvää kyytiä sadetta karkuun siinä kohtaa.
Helsingholmen on tällä myräkällä hyvä paikka. Eikä se saariston paras kalakaan haittaa tee... ;-) Meillä tuo syväys rajoittaa tuota Aspössä käyntiä ja tällä kertaa kävi tuuri! On avulias ja mukava isäntä muuten siellä (hän on tuo joka soittaa haitaria tuossa). Me ollaan jo kotona. Joku kauden päätös video tulee vielä...

1:04 and 1:20 I am pretty sure these birds are cormorants, saw the same-looking birds about a week ago south of Seoul, Korea and had to look it up. Beautiful birds and amazing that they are so spread-out across the world.
Yep. They are Great Cormorants. Somewhat newcommers here. The population is luckily not very big here yet. These birds can destroy the nature quite some bit. They typically invade some island in a large colony and in a year or two the place turns into a grey dead rock. (Not a big fan of these birds as you can see...)
Speaking as a Sweden-Finn who got stuck in Asia somehow, the places in your videos feel like home - it's almost weird but I get a strong feeling of nostalgia and warmth even though I never visited these places. Can't express with words how thankful I am this kind of content & channel on youtube!

Terve. Tämä vedettiin fosforihapolla, kun sitä oli tuolla hyllyssä. Tavallisesti porukka käyttää oksaalihappoa, tai sitruunahappoa. Oksaalihappoa saa maalaus alan liikkeistä ja sitruunahappo on halvinta jossakin traktorikaupassa. Apteekista saa pieniä määriä myös. Voit vetäistä pakkauksen ohjeilla. Lasikuitu kestää kyllä vahvemmatkin tökötit. Liuotinpesuaineilla tulee myös puhdasta, mutta sitten pitää vedellä perässä asetonilla.

Nice video. Thank you.. addtional info: As all the oil inside the volvo penta can not be completely vacuumed, most of the grid still stays in oil pan. So even oil + oil filter changed, there are still have many unwanted particules left in engine oil.
