  You technically can but a heat press is recommended as it will provide a longer lasting transfer.

  instead of folding in half for smaller polybag, can you fold final product smaller size, like 8x8?

  With the machine or by hand? The machine is pretty set to automatically bag and seal. If you bypass the sealer, you can fold that in half if needed.

  those laser temp guns arnt accurate. use a thermistor you can add a thermistor to a wand

  yes they aren't 100% accurate but will give you a range of temperature fluctuation.

  Dtf is good but wears worse than screen print. DTG or screen print all the way.

  With a good heat press and perhaps a matt finishing sheet, you will get good results that last a very long time.
