This song was definitely relevant when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Life was very different, and even though the pandemic has been over for a few years, many things changed as a result and will never go back. It especially hits hard when it says "long ago, but not so very long ago", because the reality is that it WASN'T that long ago. I was in my last year of college when COVID hit which sent me into a deep depression with lockdowns and social distancing. Life will never be the same as it was in 2019.

I remember myself playing out on the streets with all those friends who I usted to play with I cant believe yet that everything has gone, all those people who once I knew, They aren't here anymore, some of them past away, the others are living in other places far away from me ..... Probably we're living our best moment right now but we can't see it because we're still living in the past. This beautiful song reminds me that... 💔

Have always loved Cars. And then...as life would have it, my daughter needed me to drive with her from San Diego to Atlanta. And part of the route we took was down Route 66. I immediately thought of this song and the Cars movie. A truly awesome experience to drive on Route 66 and drive thru the Heartland of America.

I miss my grandad sm he was my everything treated me like a little princess and worshiped the ground i walked on he survived cancer twice covid and many other health issues in the end it was sepsis that got him 2 years on the 23rd of april i will miss him forever and i hope hes proud of me wherever he is rest in peace grandad
