Brightside Media

Brightside Media

Ego-free motor films. We love the machines and that's what we focus on.

Every iconic bike and car has a story to tell. That's part of what makes them so special. There's the rivalry between the Kawasaki Z1 and Honda CB750 and the development of the six cylinder superbike, the Honda CBX. There's the lengths Eagle go to to achieve perfection with their Jaguar E-type and the story of how the Porsche 911 was almost cancelled forever.

We focus on the stories and the history of the most iconic classic cars and bikes. We also share the experience of what it's like to ride a Honda CBX, Kawasaki Z1 or Suzuki GT750 and how it feels to drive an Eagle E-Type or air-cooled Porsche 911.

For us, it's all about the machines themselves and the way they make us feel.

If you feel the same way, you've come to the right place.

I just saw a video of another dude riding his pov. He was running straight pipes and it sounded like an F1 car. These old bikes are sick.

The Suzuki GT750 was for your motorcycle safety instructor. The Kawasaki H2 was for those who had watched Dr Strangelove and wanted their own bomb.

I pumped petrol in Ireland in the early 80s. I will never forget a local young man launching over the hill 100 yards from the station and pullung in. I had never seen anyone drive that fast and sound that good before. Never forgot it - probably why I have owned many bikes over the years

Cleans up the ports with a file. Use wet and dry sandpaper with a bucket of water to smooth ports, combustion chamber and piston crown. Then polish the piston crown and chamber with a buff. Should come like a mirror. Chuck out original metal reeds for a set of boysen fibreglass reeds. Now take it out and jet it. Yer looking at 130mph. Will also get 130miles on a tank. Economy goes up with power to this point. All this while torque starting at 3500. Extreme torqe coming out of corners. Must be balance rite coz she will pop even when leaning. Its posible to have it spinning, drifting, monoing while leaning. The gearbox is so good you can change seamleesly with no clutch, takes some practice. Add an extra set of plates to the clutch basket, gives more spring pressure as well as more friction area. Learn the mechanics and riding. Good luck.

I owned an RD350 and a RD400. Unfortunately, the LC’s weren’t imported to the US. When the aKenny Roberts Editions in the 80’s came out I was already into the GSXR750’s. I still like the old two strokes.

Although these gems are out of reach for the common man now, still I can proudly say I own a 2022 Honda CB350 (marketed in India as the Highness 350) which is somewhat of a toned down spiritual descendant of this legendary CB750! Love the Hondas!❤

It certainly served Suzuki well racing in the early 70's and I would have loved one but the GS range more practical. I worked with a guy who had an early one, got the GS1000 when it came out and kept the kettle and sold the GS

In 77' they brought out the 750B which gained a few more horses over it's predecessors. It was a superbike in the sense that as mentioned, it was 750/738cc triple stroker. Then how far do you want to go back? Brough Superior? Vincent Black Shadow?
